The bridges coalition is comprised of the Black Recruitment and Retention Center (BRRC), the Native American Recruitment and Retention Center (NARRC), Pilipino Academic Student Services (PASS), the Raza Recruitment and Retention Center (RRRC), and the Asian/Pacific Islander Recruitment and Retention Center (REACH!), and its affiliate the Mixed Student Union (MSU).
bridges was established in the Spring of 1996 by a group of student leaders seeking to create space to work together in solidarity across lines of race and ethnicity. bridges strives to create a safe space for cross cultural dialogue and community building as well as working in unity to recruit students of color into institutions of higher education. In addition, bridges seeks to provide retention services for current UC Berkeley students of color.
