One of the Big Four Auditing Firms, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) will be giving a presentation on Wednesday, November 4th at 7:30pm in 141 Giannini for our first professional event of the month. Today, PwC serves 16 industry sectors including assurance, human resources, performance improvement, and many more. They combine unique perspectives, skills, and diverse backgrounds to create innovative solutions to today's most complex business issues. This is incredible opportunity for FSBC members to see the magnitude of such a successful firm.

Celebrate Halloween a bit early with FSBC!This Wednesday, October 28th, at 7:00pm in 141 Giannini, FSBC will be holding its annual Halloween Social! A newly invented game involving blood and ping pong balls was created just for this event, so get your scare face on as we compete for best costume and candy. Frighteningly amazing prizes will be awarded to the best two costumes.

Business and Medicine Professional Event

Even with a biology emphasis, you can still take a shot a business. Come listen to Cal alumnus Francis Kong talk about how he used his medical background to create a product and sell it on an international level. The event is this Wednesday, October 21st at 7:30pm in 141 Giannini (see map attached to FSBC Weekly E-mail).

Urban Relief Volunteer Event

The Freshman Sophomore Business Club is excited to announce our first community service event of the year! This Saturday, October 24th, FSBC will be teaming up with "Urban Releaf", a non profit organization that is aimed at keeping the Oakland community beautiful.FSBC will be helping Urban Releaf with tree planting, greenery tending, and other exciting outdoor beautification projects.

Family Event

Get to know your family a bit better as we have our second family event of the fall semester this Wednesday, October 14th at 7:00pm at the Upper Sproul fountain. Bring friends or anyone who might be interested in FSBC -- it's not too late to join the club or become a family member. Everyone will meet at the Sproul Fountain and break off from there. Be prepared -- who knows what those crazy family heads are up to!

First Mentorship Program Event

Are you looking for personal, one-on-one assistance on what you need to do to get into Haas? Look no further, starting Sunday, October 18th, the FSBC Mentorship Program will be coming together for its first event, a mentor-mentee meet and greet, followed by an interviewing workshop. This meeting will take place at 3:00pm at Blake's on Telegraph. It costs only $15 per semester to join the Mentorship Program or $20 per year. As you may have noticed, the FSBC website has been under maintenance recently and many of you have been unable to access the announcement bulletin and events page. We are very sorry for the inconvenience and we assure you that we are doing everything we can to remedy the problems. As it stands now, you can still apply for an online FSBC member account, but we are still unable to do event sign-ins online, so they will continue to be done manually until the problems are fixed. Again, sorry for the inconvenience.
