About ISSUES

ISSUES launched in the fall of 1993 with the generous support of the following people and groups: the ASUC, the Health and Medical Apprenticeship Program, the committee on student publications, Jonathan Brennan, Janine Bera, Andy Guo, Jannelle Lee, The Heuristic Squelch, and Dr. Peter Van Houten.

Over the years ISSUES has refined its focus to include a wider selection of interesting topics for the readers to enjoy. One of the journal's most memorable accomplishments was the transition in 2003 from a newsletter format to its current journal format, available in both hard-copy and online. ISSUES is always thankful for the contributions and support from the editors, students, guests, partners, and advisor.

We hope our publication will entertain your minds, as well as, foster thought about critical social, scientific, and medical developments.
