Re-USE, the New Campus Materials Exchange.

After being discussed and supported at the UC Berkeley Recycling Summit, 2001, Campus Recycling and Refuse Services is pleased to announce the establishment of Re-USE, the new campus materials exchange.

The idea of a materials exchange is simple. One person may no longer want to use an item that can still be used. Instead of throwing it out, that person can donate it to a materials exchange. The materials exchange then connects the item with someone who wants it. Re-USE serves the campus community and redistributes items for free. The Re-USE Shop is located in the MLK Garage.

What's trash to you is a free gift to another.

MISSION STATEMENT
To promote the concept and ethics of reuse to the campus population and to divert reusable materials from landfills.

For more information, please go to the Re-USE Web site.
