Dear SHKCA,
Thank you for all who attended our Welcome night orientation. It was refreshing to see new faces and new prospective members. I would like to congratulate everyone for a successful Welcome Night, and will be looking forward to getting to know everyone and meeting more members.

For those interested in becoming a member of SHKCA or wanted to apply to become an intern or an officer, please look for the forms online or look for the SHKCA table on Sproul.
SHKCA tabling hours are
Monday, Wednesday from 10:00am-2:00pm
Tuesdays, and Thursday from 12:00pm-2:00pm
You can submit your forms and/or pay your membership dues at our tables.
Come spend an evening with SHKCA under the almost full moon. (9/14 is actually date on lunar calendar) There will be games, food, and prizes. Lantern riddles, BBQ, and much much more.
9/20 Visiting Berkeley Art Museum: "MahJong" Gala (Saturday)
"The University of California, Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive (BAM/PFA) announces a major exhibition of contemporary Chinese art, on view at the museum from September 10, 2008, through January 4, 2009. Mahjong: Contemporary Chinese Art from the Sigg Collection is drawn from the collection of Uli Sigg, a Swiss collector whose long and close ties to China have enabled him to build a collection that is unrivaled in quality, scope, and size."
