I saw a dog beneath a tree And shortly he saw me. He raised a grizzled grimy paw. Its pads were ripped and raw. A breeze disturbed the herbal grass With air from Faerie Pass And blew stray dog hairs to the sky. And you and he and I Were less than light and far with were Under floating fur.
