Open Computing Facility - Staff Hours

OCF Hours of Operation: The OCF Lab is open whenever the ASUC Publications Center is open. The current hours of the ASUC publications center are M-F 9-6, Saturday 11-6, and Sunday Noon-6. Please note that staff hours at the OCF Lab are only observed when the OCF Lab is actually open. You can also e-mail staff at staff@ocf.berkeley.edu with questions or account problems. If you cannot make the hours listed below, you can e-mail staff to request an appointment, however, please remember that staff are student volunteers, and have all the same obligations you do (work, labs, classes, etc.), so please make every effort to make the posted staff hours

New Location: The OCF is now located in Eshleman Hall on Floor G. Click here for detailed directions.

Please frequently check this page for updates in staff hours since staffers often switch classes during the first few weeks of the semester and may be forced to change their hours on short notice!

A University identification card or a picture ID and enrollment/employment confirmation is required for account application or maintenance.

As a reminder, please DO NOT send your password over email, as your account will have to be disabled. OCF staff members do not need to know and will never ask for your password.

If you have an ACCOUNT DEACTIVATION problem, you will need to see a ROOT staff member. (Each has an asterisk (*) following the name.) Some staff (including ROOT and PSEUDO-ROOT staff) can handle PASSWORD changing (P).

ALL staff members are available for new account sign-ups, answering questions, and general help concerning UNIX and OCF systems.
