Every student fellowship has its distinguishing characteristic. We believe our distinction lies in our sense of Christian community. We pray that regardless of whether or not you are a Christian, AACF will be a community that is committed both to the Truth, as proclaimed in the Holy Bible, and to be a loving haven for spiritual inquiry and growth. We hope that these ministries are part of the answer to our prayer:

Large Group & Worship

Purpose: Large Group & Worship ministry exists to...
1. "Re-define" worship to include all parts of Discipleship (evangelism, prayer, fellowship, etc).
2. Develop worship teams to lead through example in spiritual maturity & technical excellence.
3. Encourage the body and provide a space to allow worship to happen.
4. Facilitate meeting with God and experiencing spiritual growth through biblical teaching.

Details: We meet every Thursday 7-9:30PM. Large group meetings usually involve worship, teaching, announcements, welcoming of newcomers, and an open time to get to know each other. Also, this year we hope to engage the body of AACF in discussions about personal, campus, & global concerns through teaching, open dialogue, prayer, testimonies, and community involvement.

How to get involved: Please contact Leslie Nicolas or Stephanie Huang

Unity in Christ

Purpose: To remind AACF that we are only a small part of the body of Christ working to reach the lost on this campus and that working with and building friendships with people from other fellowships is important in walking in unity and demonstrating God's love.

Details: UIC is an organization that every Christian group on the Cal campus is part of. We get together every Monday night to pray, share about our fellowships, encourage one another, plan body-wide events, etc. We plan Interpraise every semester and coordinate the yellow books. Jesus says in John 17:20-23: "My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me."

How to get involved: Please contact Mike Hamada for more information.
