Campus!

Pics of Berkeley and the environs!

2002-03 School Year

Flowers at the botanical gardens.

More flowers at the botanical gardens.

This is International House, a dorm for upper classmen and international students.

Sakura (Cherry blossom) petals! It looks just like a scene from an anime.

This is the funky tree that grows near faculty glade.

This is Faculty Glade. Apparently if you roll down the hill, you'll get a 4.0 GPA! Yeah right...

Founder's Rock. This is where I slipped and fell on my ass.

Whee, Campanile, the landmark of our campus. It's taller than Stanfurd's silly clock tower and it can be seen from miles around.

This is the DC, the dining commons, where we get fed experimental drugs, er, I mean, "food."

This is University Library, or Doe Library, or just plain Doe. Why is it called that? Because some guy named Doe built it...

This is the Golden Bear Cafe. It's near Sproul Plaza, and it's where I get my coffee and donut every Thursday.

This is a shot of my dorm, Foothill Hillside Building 7. There's also La Loma which is down the street...

This is Hillside Circle, where people drop off stuff and what not.

This is Hillside Octagon, where people hang out, have picnics, study, what have you.

Ah, Memorial Glade, otherwise known as the Berkeley Beach. You do everything you can do on a beach here, like sunbathe, play frisbee or volleyball. The only thing you can't do is swim.

A shot of Sather Gate, taken from just off of Sproul Plaza.

South Hall. The roof was used as a model for the chimney sweep scene in Disney's Mary Poppins.

This is a view of the outside from the second floor of the dorm building.

This is the view towards the west from Campanile. On a good day you can see the Golden Gate Bridge!
