HANGING OUT IN SUNNY CATHEDRAL SQUARE

"10:07am--At the 'Yellow Rocket Bagels + Coffee.' Sitting outside, waiting for my $4.20 bowl of dark mocha latte. It's so damn sunny, I could take my jacket off. In fact, I think I will. Wow it feels weird. Wearing just my t-shirt...

"Now it's getting ridiculously sunny. I can barely keep my eyes open. And seagulls flying overhead constantly are making me paranoid I'm gonna get pooped on.

"I've turned my back on the sun. Literally. Now, though, I can finally see...

"It was freezing this morning. I could see my breath. But now, in the sun... it's positively hot. It's so bright I can't see anything. Oh -- is my neck going to sunburn?

"I just photographed my coffee some more. It has this remnant symbol in the foam that reminds me of the 'Artist Formerly Known As Prince.' My neck is getting burnt. I'm gonna go shopping for sunglasses, I think.

"Lastly -- I loved the eggs benedict [from Gannets Cafe] but I'm also ready to puke from how greasy they were. The mocha isn't helping much. I went from no meat and small amounts of fat in the form of olive oil [back home] to bacon + eggs + butter [here in NZ]. Jesus. Off I go for my sunglasses now."
