Day 1 - May 28th, 2005 - Laguna Beach, Sam Woo, Irvine Spectrum
[Picture from Cathy] Emily got these really pretty orchids for my parents. Aren't they just beautiful?!! Emily picked out everything in this arrangement too. She's wayyyy talented.
Got back home to Laguna Niguel late Friday night. Left Emily's place at around 5. Emily's mom had made some pretty good inari-type sushi that we ate along the way. Ate at Ban Mu Yuen in Irvine, then went to Fashion Island and walked around Laguna Beach before having dinner with my family. Here's Angela (Emily's sister), my dad, my mom, and Emily on the boardwalk at Laguna Beach.
Somewhat cloudy day in Laguna Beach
Lot of people were out there though
This was at dinner at Sam Woo. My uncle looking quite bored...got tired of making fun of me I guess. hehehe
Cousin Raymond went to Disneyland for the first time this weekend. Quite exciting.
Seafood Abalone Jook
Tofu with Mushrooms and Bok Choy
Lobster...it's been awhile. Bisque isn't the same as actual lobster.
Afterwards, we visited family friends. Mr. Chiang goes sportfishing so he catches huge fish like tuna/yellowtail and brings them home for sashimi. Yummy Hamachi!!! I probably would have eaten it all but I had "help" eating it...hehehe
Angela found this guide at Urban Outfitters when us four (Cathy, Emily, Angela, and I) went to the Irvine Spectrum...Emily and I looked it over and found some useful information.
Irvine Spectrum is very pretty at night. So much to do and all the stores open pretty late.
