Day 3 - May 30th, 2005 - Disneyland Day 2

Ate Dim Sum at Hong Chun in Irvine before heading back to Disneyland...good stuff

Hmm...never had these before. Sesame shrimp wontons. Pretty tasty.

On the boardwalk at Paradise Pier/California Adventure.

California Screamin' which is supposedly the longest roller coaster on the West Coast at 6,072 feet long. It's pretty good.

Hmmm...getting sleepy.

The Sun Wheel is actually taller than the Matterhorn. What makes it interesting is the inner track that allows the cabs to swing back and forth.

View of California Screamin'

The Maliboomer...kinda like an inverse Dropzone since the cool part is getting rocketed to the top really fast although you do get a little weightlessness at the top.

Disney character overload

Getting ready to play "Red light, Green light"

Stretching out...

Green light!

Angela took pics of Cathy saying "Hello Andy" in sign language. She messed up a few times though...anyways, here's the "N"

These gals are incredibly not shy at all...going down main street and doing some kind of weird dance, I was laughing pretty hard.

Emily hit Cathy across with the backpack...that's Cathy's cry of pain. Ahhhh horrible acting

Princess Emily? Pass...Princess Angela? Pass...Princess Cathy? FAIL!!! The princess wave is NEVER diagonal at any point!!! She's going to have to work on it more if she wants to be Mulan.

My much loved Turkey Leg stand...at $6 a leg, it's the best deal in the park. Plus its portable. hehehhe

Yes my friend, that is a large turkey leg.

Yummm yummmm

Waiting for pineapple juice at the Dole stand near the Tiki Room...LOOOOONG line. Word to the wise and pineapple enthusiast, try going in the line that's in the Tiki Room waiting area...it's shorter.

I waited in the outside line while Cathy did the Tiki Room line...eventually she called me to let me know that she was much closer than I was to getting the goodies.

Quick hair makeover

Emily enjoys the Pineapple Float (Pineapple juice and Pineapple ice cream)

:-P

Mr Toad's Wild Ride, Peter Pan, Haunted Mansion, and Pirates of the Caribbean are my favorite "dark rides"

Love the Mad Tea Cups Ride

Emily was like screaming "Noooooooooo!!!" the entire time lol

I remember when the Skyway would pass through the Matterhorn...that was one cool ride.

I remember thinking that it was a big deal to see the marching of the puppets...well they happen every 15 minutes so we got to see the show twice.

Look! It's Peru!

Couple of Toontown's newest inmates...

Even these large muscles...

...can't lift it up.

2nd time around...first 6 digit score.

Hehehe...we both are looking through the sights now...

On the Indiana Jones ride...

Hmmm...juicy turkey leg...this was while waiting for Fantasmic. We got seats at a restaurant (River Belle Cafe) overlooking the river where Fantasmic is held. Pretty good seats.

Emily and Angela got something at the Mexican place...chicken and shrimp

Hmmm...clam chowder...it's not near Splash Mountain anymore...its next to the French Market in New Orleans.

Fantasmic

Last ride at Disneyland was of course Astroblasters...each time I rode I figured out more and more of the game...when I went home that night I found out about secret targets and other stuff.

This dude got the high score that day...1,054,000

My sister tries to beat my score...the ride did stop at one point, to the loud cheers of everyone inside. Apparently, they stop it whenever someone in a wheelchair needs to get on.

Looking forward to when the new Space Mountain opens. I got the 50th Anniversary CD and on it, it has the new music for it.

"I don't wanna go!!!"

Where girls come up with these poses I don't know...

Taking a picture for another group...Angela thought she'd get me in a Kung Fu pose ala China but nope...it's not me.

Look who's got Mickey ears?!!! :-P

The World of Disney store is HUGE.
