Taiwan Trip 1 Part 1

This is the beginning of my series on my first trip to Taiwan this year. Yeah, I ended up having the rare opportunity to travel there twice in one year. Definitely not the usual. The trip was for reasons other than leisure which I won't go into in my blog but I still ended up being able to experience new things there. That's the magic of all places...you think you know somewhere really really well and then you're hit with something new. Did I mention that I love traveling? :-P I took this picture of the sushi I had at SFO before taking off.

Time for more food!

I like EVA's Spicy Beef Noodles...you can ask for them if you are still hungry in between meals.

Hmm...I heartily recommend it over the seafood cup-o-noodles simply because the broth is sooo much more flavorful.

I got Seat 27G in the Deluxe Class...it's considered Premium Economy...EVA doesn't have First Class...it goes Business and then Premium Economy(Deluxe) and then Cattle Pen. I usually sit in the Cattle Pen. This woman next to me actually had the nerve to ask if I could switch seats with her since she would need to go to the bathroom. I gently reminded her that I too am a mammal and also need to relieve myself from time to time. It wasn't like she was 70 or anything either. Probably only late 40s. She just saw my leg room (love 27G!!!) and wanted a bit of the action. Sorry ma'am, I'm at least 7 inches taller than you and need the space. I had no problem getting up everytime she needed to use it and I think I ended up using the restroom more than she did. Seriously, my seat needed to be booked way in advance and she expected me to just give it up? I'm not being "bu-hsiao-suen", am I?
