Star Wars Convention Day 1, BCD Tofu House

Without the ultra-wide angle 10-22mm for my SLR, this kind of shot would be impossible. The Rebel XT isn't a full-frame camera which means that the sensor only captures a certain percentage of the image that the lens provides. It's great for zoom lens since that means we zoom in even more but horrible for wide-angle lens because for those, we want to zoom out as much as possible.

Outside of the Convention Center, R2-D2 stood guard.

With VIP passes to Star Wars Celebration IV, we were able to circumvent the long lines...omg, this was like Disneyland!

Emily sets up shop...I actually got my dad and my sister some stuff but I haven't gotten around to giving it to them yet. I've seen the intro scene to "A New Hope" AKA Episode IV like 50 times thanks to the surround sound on his Laserdisc copy. It was his surround stereo system demo disc. :-)

Would you like 3 or 4 of the Star Wars limited edition figurines?

Never been in the convention center at night...lotta people just milling around.

Hmm mmm 24 hour soft tufu stew...wish this was in San Jose. We were pretty busy all of these days so we usually didn't eat until very late.

Patiently waiting for me to take a photograph...I was still pretty new to the 50mm f/1.4 here.

I made her wait a bit too long. Hehe
