I went to Hot Import Nights in Pleasanton a few months ago real-time...the following series are the pics I took there...obviously if you know anything about Hot Import NIghts then you know that the pics that can be taken there are usually Not Safe For Work (NSFW). Be forewarned...I don't want to be responsible for anything...and I'm assuming that I don't have little children reading my blog. If you're not 13...leave now...read some of my other posts...this is definitely PG-13. |
Lotta "carbon fiber" in this Z...although it did have the real stuff on the outside where it matters. :-P The "Z" on the flip-up is a little ostentatious but that's what Hot Import Nights as about!
Few people know that the S2000 contains a compartment in the hood for your pet monkey...it's hidden in the Owner's Manual.

I'd say I recognized maybe 5-10% of the models that were at 2008 HIN Pleasanton from 2008 HIN San Mateo.
Bikini with Jeans...what a concept! But it makes total sense....yeeeeeeeeaaaaah.
I usually like taking pictures of models when they're just being themselves...obviously they're not dressing as they normally would but I look for situations where they drop the whole posed shot scenario. I realize that to them this is just a job and it's probably tough keeping a smile when you have tons and tons of men ogling you and taking your picture. Still I look for opportunities to capture some of their individual personality and attitudes.
A lot of the models put themselves under the tent which made for horrible lighting issues...a lot of the photogs were urging them to move out from under the tent...I felt bad when I realized that the sun was probably right in their eyes.
But you can see what I mean about the lighting situation caused by the tents.
Each model has a certain set of poses that they go through...I'm learning them and compiling a set to refer to in the future.
