2008 Las Vegas Trip Part 1
Virgin America, Las Vegas Airport

I'm jumping ahead to a trip we had just a few weeks ago since at least it's fresh in my mind...out of protocol but then again, I'm so behind it almost makes sense...

For President's Day Weekend, we decided to spend it with friends in Las Vegas. Since we wanted to get there early and not waste a night, we took a separate flight from everyone...we got on Flight 777 Virgin America. Yes, 777. Wonder what they had to do at the FAA to get that number.

Emily got her nails done a few hours prior. "You're so vain...you probably think this 'blog' is about you..." lol

Emily practically moaned at the sight of Cathay and China Airline planes...if I didn't restrain her, she might have done something foolish to try to get on the planes instead.

Instead, we boarded this one. Looks small but you get big seats and it never feels like your in a smaller airplane. Oh yeah, Virgin and JetBlue both depart from the International Terminal at SFO (San Francisco International) even if they only fly domestic. Hence, Emily's moaning.

I got a bunch of cakes/pastries from Japan on my trip to Taiwan a month ago. This is one of them...Hina (the first 2 characters) means young chicken...does it mean Young Chicken of Yummy? :-) This was pretty tasty. Kind of like a mini cake.

These look a lot like how baked goods were wrapped back in medieval Japan.

It was our first time flying Virgin America. They use LEDs everywhere.

Unfortunately, our plane was having problems with the onflight entertainment system. The power sockets were all there though. Pretty good for cross country flights.

Emily likes to show off her nails! She went to a place I found good reviews for online.

Midflight...the mood lighting is pretty unique.

Yeah....Cincinnati...yeah!

Ooops, I forgot my Proactiv at home! Fear not! The Airport Kiosk is here!

Gambling at the airport...the last time I was at Las Vegas airport, I don't remember it being this nice inside. They must have had a renovation.

We're here!

The Desert Horned Lizard...here it prepares to squirt blood from its eyes. Yes, they do that.

Emily likes what she sees.
