Frequently Asked Questions
How do the Cal Animage Alpha screenings work?
Screenings are comprised of two parts: the featured showing and the weekly showing. The anime "feature" is different every week. In an attempt to expose club attendees to various kinds of anime, we show only the first few episodes of the featured series. If you happen to like what we show, we will usually carry the title in our Libary so that you can borrow it. The "weekly" is a series that we choose to show in its entirety, a couple episodes per week throughout the course of the semester.Do I have to pay membership dues in order to watch the showings?
No. Everyone is welcome to the showings. Then why would I pay you $10 for membership?
With CAA membership, you get to participate in a number of exclusive members-only activities and events. The membership entitles you to our weekly newsletter, Konshuu, as well as admission to the Anime Marathon and CAA's anime convention, Anime Destiny*. We also hold a number of raffles, auctions, and giveaways that only members can partake in. The membership dues all go towards the club's operating fund. We use the money to maintain our equipment and plan cool events for you!*When is Anime Destiny?
Unfortunately, Anime Destiny has been postponed indefinitely. Is there a Cal Animage Alpha Facebook group?
Yes! *link*More FAQs coming in the future, one could hope at least!
