This is the issue which fits in between FF #399 and FF #400. The Fantastic Force travel to the Negative Zone to rescue Sue Richards.

Fantastic Four : Atlantis Rising (1995)

Issues #1-2 Big huge crossover thing with many titles, including FF #401-402. The underwater continent of Atlantis comes to the surface, and lots of Prince Namor's kingdom dies.

Fantastic Four Roast

Thanks to Joe T. for letting me know this exists.

Issues #1

Fantastic Four 2099 (1995-Current)

Issues #1-7 This is part of the 2099 line. These are not the same FF as in the FF book. These guys live in the year 2099. I have never read one. It will be cancelled in June.

Fantastic Four Unlimited (1994-1996)

Issues #1-12 There were 12 of these quarterly issues, each with a $3.95 cover, which probably explains the cancellation. They often coincided with the FF, often they went off on their own.

Fantastic Four Unplugged (1995-Current)

Issues #1-Current This is the other current Fantastic Four title. Just recently there were four titles, now there are two. This survived the axe most likely because it has a 99 cent cover price. Each issue focuses on one of the FF.

Issue #1 The Thing

Issue #2 Reed Richard's Will

Issue #3 The Invisible Woman

Issue #4 The Human Torch

Issue #5 Blastaar

Fantastic Four and the X-Men (1987)

Issues #1-4 I haven't read it. Joe T. has this to say :
"As for the Fantastic Four versus the X-Men it is a must have for an FF fan. It mainly focuses on Reed and a conflict within himself which causes him to question his actions and therefore a misunderstanding occurs between the FF and the X-Men. Everything turned out to be engineered years in advance by good ol' Doctor Doom. In there issues Magneto is the leader of the X-Men. These four issues are truly a masterpiece. I can say nothing negative about this series. Personally I don't even like the X-Men, but they fit very well into this book. It was also collected into a trade paperback twice, that is it exists with 2 different covers. It was wonderfully written by Chris Claremont. The series contains the best pencils I have ever seen by Jon Bogdanove. (They fit the book perfectly) Terry Austin provides his usual beautiful inks. Bogdanove does a beautiful job on the facial expressions. There are so many touching scenes in that it would take me much to long to mention them all. She-Hulk temporarily rejoins during the series. What makes the series so good is that not one character goes unused. There is also significant character development on both teams. Many of the miniseries I have encountered stink because they lack this factor. As you can see I am quite passionate about this series and highly recommend it to any FF fan."

The Human Torch (1974-1975)

Issues #1-8 These are all reprints of Strange Tales stories starring Ben and Johnny.

Issue #1 Reprints Strange Tales #101
Issue #2 Reprints Strange Tales #102
Issue #3 Reprints Strange Tales #103
Issue #4 Reprints Strange Tales #104
Issue #5 Reprints Strange Tales #105
Issue #6 Reprints Strange Tales #106
Issue #7 Reprints Strange Tales #107
Issue #8 Reprints Strange Tales #108

The Inhumans (1975-1977)

Thanks to Joe T. for this information.
Issues #1-12 Issue #1 The Inhumans battle Blastaar. Issue #3 Features the original Shatterstar. Issue #5 The Inhumans fight Maximus and Black Bolt speaks. Issues #10-11 The Inhumans fight the Kree. Issue #12 Final issue, features the Hulk.
There were two one shot issues, one in 1992, and one in 1995 coinciding with the Atlantis Rising crossover.

Marvel Action Hour Starring the Fantastic Four (1994-1995)

Issues #1-8 These are all just comic book adaptations of the Marvel Action Hour. Since the Marvel Action hour is just an adaptation of the FF comic book, this book is just adapting an adaptation. Basically, all of these stories have already been released.

Marvel Two In One (1974-June 1983)

Issues #1-100 Basically, the same thing as Marvel Team Up, except starring the Thing instead of Spiderman. Issue #100 sees the Thing teaming up with Ben Grimm. Hmmm...

Secret Wars (May 1984-April 1985)

Issue #1 The Beyonder draws a group of Earth's superheroes and a group of Earth's supervillians onto his war world. He tells them to battle each other, and promises those who win a reward. Sue does not join, as she is quite pregnant (see Issue #265).

Issue #12 She Hulk replaces the Thing. Coincides with FF #265.

Secret Wars II (1985-1986)

Issues #1-9 More of the beyonder. Nothing really important happens in this one. Crossovers are in FF #282, #285, #288, and Thing #30.

The Thing (1983-1986)

Issues #1-36 The Thing tries to hack it as a professional wrestler. This is what he does in his time off from the FF. Exciting.

What If...

Thanks to Joe T. for this information.

Volume 1

Issue #1 What if Spiderman _had_ joined the Fantastic Four? (see the Amazing Spiderman #1). Why, then, you would have the "Fantastic Five".

Issue #11 What if the Marvel Bullpen had become the FF? See Stan Lee as Reed and Jack Kirby as the Thing.

Volume 2 (1989-Current)

Issue #30 "What if the Richard's Second Child Had Lived? Issue #35 March, 1992, "What if the Fantastic Five Had Invaded the Negative Zone?"
Or... "What if the Fantastic Five fought Doctor Doom and Annihilus." The Fantastic Five being the FF + Spiderman (see What If..., vol. 1, no. 1). This basically retells the events of Franklin's birth and the complications of Sue's pregnancy (see Annual #6) in an alternate universe.

Other Good, Recent, FF Related Books

Incredible Hulk #417 May, 1994, "The Bachelor Party"
This issue is hilarious. EVERYONE should read this one. Anyway, Rick Jones is getting married, and it's time for bachelor and bachelorette parties. Ben, Johnny, Captain America, Hulk, Ant Man, the Silver Surfer, Iron Man, The Vision, Quicksilver all attend the bachelor party (Reed can't go because he is dead, btw), which features a stripper and a porno flick, and spiked punch (Cap is _very_ embarrassed). Sue, Crystal, Lyja, She Hulk, and the Scarlet Witch all go to the bachorelette party, which ends up at Chippendale's. Sue gets kinda angry (she's still grieving and all), because She Hulk insisted it was all in good taste. Then the Strip Club gets held up by some thugs (_big_ mistake). Also, when Cap is playing pool, Sue bets him $5 that he can't make a shot. When he misses, well, it looks like the pocket had been blocked by an invisible force field! (hee hee hee).

Avengers #376

This is a Crystal / Inhuman oriented issue. Some mad scientist kidnaps one of the Inhumans, Sporr, in an attempt to make herself an Inhuman by using his DNA to mutate hers. She succeeds, and Crystal comes to stop her.

Namor #50

In this issue, Namor has an affair with Sue. I think.

Amazing Spider Man #407 January, 1996, "Blasts From the Past"

Starring the new Spider Man (Ben Reilly), and guest starring Johnny Storm, the Human Torch. Spidey and the Torch are old friends and sometime rivals, and when Johnny finds out that Spidey has a new costume, he is curious. He meets with Spidey, and they don't get along terribly well. See FF #362 for another Spidey/Torch thing.

Vision and the Scarlet Witch #10 July, 1986, "Spring Fever"

Guest starring the Inhumans. Crystal has complications with her pregnancy, and her husband, Quicksilver, goes mad.

The Sensational She Hulk #6 October, 1989, "Star Truck"

Guest starring Mr. Fantastic, but not for very long. Still, a pretty good issue.

Other Remotely Related Books

The Savage/Sensational She Hulk

Volume 1 (1980-1982)

Issues #1-24(?) Unlike many characters, She Hulk makes her first appearance in her own book. I don't know if she's "savage" like her cousin, the Incredible Hulk.

Volume 2 (1989-1994)

Issues #1-62 This book was supposed to be irreverant, somewhat of a spoof. A lot of it _is_ pretty funny. John Byrne penciled and wrote the first couple of issues.

Namor, the Sub Mariner (1989-1994)

Issues #1-62 This book has a lot of tie ins with the FF. I think.

The Silver Surfer

Volume 1 (1968-1970)

Issues #1-18
All double sized issues by Stan Lee.

Volume 2 (1987-Current)

Issues #1-118+ Issue #1 July, 1987, "Free"
The FF (minus Johnny, plus She Hulk) guest star, as the Surfer tries once again to break through the barrier that Galactus placed around the Earth ...way... back in Issue #50. Reed can't seem to figure out a solution, but when Ben suggests that the Surfer's board is what is keeping him on earth, the Surfer is able to escape. Guest starring Nova, a.k.a. Frankie Raye.

Issue #75 December, 1992, "The Herald Ordeal : Destruction"

Nova, a.k.a. Frankie Raye is killed (snif) by Galactus' current Herald, Morg. She dies in the Surfer's arms. I wonder if Johnny ever found out about this?

Once again, thanks to Joe T. for information concerning the Inhumans, What If..., the Fantastic Four and the X-Men, and the Fantastic Four Roast.

Thanks also to James for information on Fantastic Four #36-41, and FF #130-147.
