Simonson/Buckler (with Simonson Covers), Issues 334-335

Issue #335Mid December, 1989, "Death by Debate" (Acts of Vengance Part 2) The FF go to Washington to face a Congressional commitee concerning the Super Hero Registration Act (similar to the Mutant Registration Act). The FF have to deal with reporters spreading nasty rumors, and a bunch of wimpy super villians that show up. Not only that, but they also have to deal with an obnoxious NRA head spouting out his anti gun control, yet pro super hero control nonsense (boy, talk about supervillians). Reed later finds a device that has apparently been causing these super villians to attack.

Simonson/Lim (with Simonson Cover), Issue #336

Issue #336January, 1990, "Dark Congress" (Acts of Vengance Part 3)
An irate member of Congress blames the FF for the attacks on the hearing, while at the same time more supervillians show up at the door. Shary, Johnny, and Ben take off to deal with with the intrusion, while the committee continues to blame Reed for the attacks. The effect of the device is then intensified, so that the members of the audience attack Reed and Sue until Reed is able to disable the device for good. After Reed persuades the committee some more, they decide to "table the bill for future consideration". Back in New York, Reed dissassembles the device, and finds the manufacturer of one of the circuitboards, and he turns out to be who else but... Dr. Doom! Actually, its one of his DoomBots (tm). The DoomBot (tm) explodes and turns into the Super-Adaptoid (tm), who the FF deal with easily.
