Wow . . . what can I say? BASA is my home, where I belong. Ever since the first meeting, I always felt welcomed and accepted. This organization is one that really cares about its members and possesses a warm and amiable environment. I look at BASA and I see unity, appreciation, love. I thank God that I'm part of such a wonderful assocation. You all are so beautiful to me. Shout out to my "family": Mother Kene, Sister Ify, Sister Ijeoma, Brother Remi, Brother Yordanos, and yucky Uncle/Brother Ndichu (just playin!) Much love to all my Afrikan brothas and sistas!!!!

Hello my dears! What can I say! It was fantastic! Yes, there's a lot we have to improve on that could be lessons for next year. Regardless tho, I just saw everyone coming together. This is what BASA is supposed to be about. BASA is you! And you being there made it so wonderful. I will always always always remember this. So THANK YOU to all of you who put so much effort into this. Remember, it's not quite over yet. There's some work left over such as where the money should be donated, collection and calculation of all ticket $, returning all rentals, and more. I ask you to research organizations working in Africa to whom we will donate the money to. I suggest we do a lot of correspondence thru email since everyone's schedule is busy. Then come together once to decide. Maybe we can use that day to WATCH THE SPRING FEST 2003 VIDEO! (for those of us who didn't see the show! haha). One more thing.. since I'm famous for long emails, I want to congratulate our new officers for the coming year 2003-2004: Adaobi (President), Kene (V.P), Rahwa (Secretary), Chinyere (Treasurer), Leslie and Anthony (Publicity Chairs). Keep BASA alive! It was a pleasure working with everyone. You're all my brothers and sisters and I love you! THANK YOU! One LOVE... African Style! -Deborah Girma President, BASA 2002-2003 PS=Will our graduating seniors please email me back so we can "appreciate" you! We'd like to know your major and grad date. And if you'll be at the Black Graduation. We'll come and scream your name!

Good work our fellow Africans. For those who wish to experience first-hand African Entertainment, please visit our site http://www.simbafrique.com for updates. We are a group of young, energetic & motivated Africans who seek to promote the African culture in form of events and entertainment. We have monthly parties featuring music from Africa amongst others, and occassionally host African artists in the Bay Area. We also welcome opportunities to be involved in African events. Nice website, especially the intro... now if only the song could go on for a little bit longer (and more pics). That would be really awesome. Good job. Keep it up.
