BASA (Berkeley African Students Association) is an ASUC-sponsored student organization, founded in the early 1960's to increase cultural awareness and solidarity within the African Diaspora on the University of California at Berkeley campus.  Our constitution can be viewed on this site, and determines the goals and objectives of the organization. The objectives of BASA are:

  • To create an opportunity for students of African descent to socialize and interact in a relaxed atmosphere.
