Trailers

There will be four trailers to house the instruments at the site this summer. Two are already owned by the Goldstein and Cohen groups. These are the "current trailer", a 20 ft x 8 ft shipping container (already at the site), and the "mobile lab", a 28 ft x 8 ft semi-truck trailer. To provide additional space, we plan on renting a 20 ft x 8 ft construction office trailer. Joost deGouw will be bringing his own trailer.

Based on the measurements that everyone has given us, we have created the following trailer powerpoint layout. Please note that the grid sizing is 1 ft x 1 ft. There will not be a lot of extra room; however, we tried to accommodate the clearance that everyone asked for around their instruments. We expect that each research group will provide their own shelving (most equipment tends to be in racks).

All of the power available inside and outside the trailers will be 110 V. There are no 220 V inlets. If you need one, please let us know ASAP. If you are worried about possible power surges, it is always best to bring your own surge protector.

For the rental trailer, please note we cannot drill, create holes, or mount anything to the surfaces of the trailer. However, there will be windows so that you can run tubing, etc. outside.

Trying to keep a constant temperature inside each trailer will be important and so we expect everyone to keep his or her pumps outside. Near the "current container", there is a 'pump shed' where we store pumps and support gas cylinders. For those in the mobile lab, there is space underneath the trailer for pumps (actually some racks that hook onto the bottom of the trailer) and for gas cylinders if they are lying down. We expect that the rented construction trailer will also have space underneath for pumps and gas cylinders to lay down.
