creaky joints

¿ù¿äÀÏ ¾Æħ: last nite, i djed stephanie n' scott's wedding.   it was an absolutely beautiful wedding!   wow, the ruby hill golf club's in a very, very ritzy, posh, gated neighbourhood in pleasanton.   the aktual golf club (country club)'s really nice.   geez, the houses near the country club?   wow, they were all such huge, beautiful mansions!   i'm sure an exekutive lives in each'f the houses.   honestly, i don't think i'll ever live in such a nice, big house; no.   *sigh* however, i guess that's ok.   would i want to?   after all, i'm sure those neighbours wouldn't let me skateboard 'round the block w/ sooni, rt?   *sigh* my knee's healin', but i'm still disappointed w/ how long it's takin'.   sometimes, i worry that i'll be 4ced to never do all the things i love to do.   that's such a scary thought.   however, it shouldn't be so bad.   like, *sigh* all the experts so it's not that bad'f an injury; but i'm just confused as to why it's takin' so long to heal.

[later] have u heard'f a uc berkeley asian.am student publikation called hardboiled?   i read 'bout it on tim fong's xanga.   i checked out the current issue; pretty kewl stuff.

[later] ¿ÀÈÄ: i went to lunch w/ my cowerkers yulin n' gwen @ °¶·¯¸®¾Æ ÇÁ¶óÀÚ (galleria plaza).   the beautiful kaela hwang joined us like 0.5way thru.   @ 1st, i bought °¥ºñÅÁ galbitang n' »ý¼±Àü saengsuhnjuhn.   then when kaela arrived, i also got a ºÎºÎ °úÀÏ ºù¼ö booboo gwail bingsoo.   it was good fud.   i still shouldn't eat 2 much cos i can't exercise w/ my bum knee.   however, i think i'm still eatin' 2 much. *sigh*   i eat 2 much!   as'f last nite's drive back to the sobay from pleasanton, my car's definitely still shot.   i still think it's the cv joint.   it makes an awful noise when i turn, 'specially when i turn 'left, 'specially when i make a tight turn.

this wknd, i copied some ol' pix from my ol' (ancient) desktop 'puter to my portable usb hard drive.   well, i should burn some dvds to back this stuff up cos this ¢heap usb drive kind'f scares me.   neway, i've been lookin' thru some'f kaela's n' my weddin' pix from 2003³â.   i wonder when these pix'll start lookin' "dated," u know?   like, @ what pt... whe'll the hairstyles n' fashions in these pix look ol' fashioned?   like, obviously, when u c weddin' pix from the 1980s, they usually look very 1980sish, rt? *shrug*

relient k - "in love with the 80s (pink tux to the prom)"
from the album two lefts don't make a right... but three do

so it was jeremy in nineteen eighty three
in his ocean pacific tee,
who got a bloody knee,
on his skateboard,
in the halfpipe,
in the backyard,
that tuesday night.

and i'm only gonna pierce my left ear!
and i've been working on this mustache all summer long
and my favorite band will always be tears for fears..
and i'm gonna to wear a pink tux to the prom.

cuttin' class through the first floor window,
he's drivin fast cause he never did a thing slow,
and i look up to my big bro cuz in the eighties all the ladies grabbed his
hands and couldn't let go!

and i'm only gonna pierce my left ear
and i've been working on this mustache all summer long,
and my favorite band will always be tears for fears,
and i'm gonna to wear a pink tux to the prom, a pink tux to the prom.
i am going to wear, a pink tux to the prom,
live without a care, what can possibly go wrong.

when you're the president of the breakfast club,
and you're not hesitant to fall in love,
to fall in love,
to throw it away!
to fall in love with the eighties.

i am going to wear a pink tux to the prom,
live without a care, what can possibly go wrong,
i am going to wear a pink tux to the prom,
live without a care cause you threw it away

lemme say sumpthin' candid 'bout yesterday's wedding.   scott n' stephanie r very good lookin' ppl.   i thought that they were 'bout my age.   however, when kaela n' i saw their slideshow pix, it dawned on us that they're older than they look.   when we saw stephanie's prom pix, we realised that she's more like my sister's age, the generation that really grew up in the 1980s unlike my generation that kind'f straddled the late 1980s n' early 1990s.   neway, this is a good thing; they look young!

maybe some ppl think that 'bout me n' kaela; maybe they think we're younger than we look.   there's some website called realage.com.   i found it on the bottom'f my journal page as a google ad.   that website takes in health data n' sed i'm 21 yrs ol'.   i doubt that's accurate.   neway, i know i am very immature.   as i was sayin', while all my friends r raisin' families, i'm nursin' a sprained knee i got from landin' a big snowboarding jump; whoopdidoo.   heh... i'm just sayin' that in jest.   i'm not all that insecure 'bout bein' immature.   whate'er.   i'm mature 'nuff to feel secure 'bout bein' immature, rt?

on sat, @ grace n' ken's bbq; grace, ken, kaela, n' i were talkin' to grace's li'l cousin, who's 22 or 23 yrs ol' (i 4get).   neway, she asked us what we thought 'bout gurls her age datin' guys who r like 30.   both ken n' i advised 'gainst it.   what i sed is this: i hang out plenty 22~23 yr olds cos'f taekwondo. &nbps; yah, we have plenty to talk 'bout n' we relate to each other n' can have decent conversations... however, @ some pt, i do feel the generation gap.   there r things that the young ppl wanna talk 'bout in which the ppl my age don't have ne interest n' vice versa.   however, i'm sure some couples can deal w/ the age gap fine.   i c it plenty often 'nuff; even in this day n' age.

the cpc - the christian punk conspiracy: if u've been readin' my journal over the past few months, i've taken a likin' to a few christian alt rock bands.   a couple'f the bands i like r relient k n' hawk nelson.   they both have that "power pop punk" or "mainstream surf punk" kind'f sound.   yah, that kind'f stuff is pretty looked down 'pon by "real" punk rockers, but... *shrug* i have tendencies to listen to bubblegummy teenybopper stuff sometimes.   u'll find some avril lavigne in my mix'f mp3s, u know?   neway, check out the name'f that relient k album i reference 'bove cos it has that song "in love with the 80s (pink tux to the prom)": two left don't make a right... but three do.   hrm, it already sounds fishy... the whole "left" n' "right" thing looks frighteningly 2 much like "liberal" v. "conservative" politikal talk.   it's 2 reminiscent'f all that "get right or get left" kind'f talk that conservatives use, rt?   they like to play on how "right" refers to both direktion n' correktness.   yah, i worry that the title's makin' fun'f politikal "liberals."   furthermore, the main art on the album cover's a bunch'f wrecked cars bein' lifted by a crane.   however, it also has a silhouette icon version'f that art in 1 corner.   in the silhoutte, the pic looks like 2 dead donkey heads hangin'.   hrm... very fishy!   whadya think?   then there's hawk nelson.   their name's kewl cos it's all based on skateboarding.   'f course, i feel tony hawk (1'f the biggest names in pro skateboarding history)'s a bit'f a politikal/social conservative.   i just kind'f sense it.   neway, they have a song n' album titled "letters to the president."   i'm a bit uneasy cos the song's basikally praisin' dubya (george w. bush), u know?   neway, to be honest, i don't mind havin' musik that doesn't totally jive w/ my politikal views.   i have many friends that hold 'lot more conservative politikal views than i do.   yah, 'specially since i left berkeley, i've made friends w/ 'lot more politikal conservatives.   me? i'm still kind'f a social conservative but politikal progressive... or if u must "liberal."   by callin' myself a "social conservative," i only mean that i don't support things like: freelove, drug use, etc.   [later] aktually, i know the album two lefts don't make a right... but three do has 4 different album covers.   i s'ppose superfans can collekt all 4.   neway, each cover has a diff dwg'f a car wreck.   hrm, on 1'f the other covers, the silhouette icon looks a li'l like an elephant.   'nother kind'f looks like a dead donkey's upside.down head.   aktually, i think there r 5 album covers: an original 4 n' then the 1 i have, which was prob'ly released later.   maybe the album cover i have's a compilation'f the earlier 4.   here's a link to the cover art: 0066944729220_500X500.jpg.   here's a link to the earlier (?) 4 cover arts: rk_twolefts.jpg.   hrm, the page where i found that last image's interesting: "christian-y mainstream" - secular bands whose lyrics reflect a biblical worldview.   ([later] since i was so upset that the last bit'f swellin' in my knee hasn't made a whole lot'f progress over the wknd, i just popped 600 mg'f ibuprofen. *sigh* i hate drugs.)   [later] ok, back to the christian punk conspiracy... check out this article that i found online: "relient k grows but remembers to its roots" (2007³â05¿ù05ÀÏ).   here's an important quote from the lead singer: "People are like, 'You know what? Green Day's going to sing anti-Bush stuff, and even if I'm a Republican, I can still listen to it.'   And they're like, 'If Relient K wants to sing about their faith, even though I'm agnostic, I can still listen to it.'"   wow, so relient k played the fillmore last month.   i guess if i had more time in my life, i would've liked to've watched them, u know?   2007³â04¿ù14ÀÏ...   that was a bizzy day n' nite.   i was in sf that nite 4 laura's b.day.   just b4 that, they were on the tonight show w/ jay leno.   how did i miss that?
