수요일 아침: hi. how r u? i guess i should say happy b.day to the beautiful kaela hwang's twin siblings. 2day, 'gain, i thought i woke up early; but by the time i got out'f the house to go to werk, it wasn't that early. well, 2day, i did take sooni 4 a slightly longer walk on skateboard. i'm olliein' up curbs ok 'gain now, i guess. i mean; in case u haven't figured it out, i'm talkin' 'bout my knee injury n' how i've been apprehensive (n' prob'ly rtfully so) to get 2 wild on my skateboard. the 1st curb i ollied onto... i think my back truck got hung up on the curb or sumpthin'. then my back fut came off, n' my front leg continued 4ward. it hurt my knee a li'l; but i don't think it was 2 bad; 'twas more'f a stretch, i think. *sigh* i can't wait to be skatin' like normal 'gain! *sigh* next snowboarding season... just how much less wild shall i be?! i mean, i always try to be safe. i don't feel i go 2 wild. just, when i get bored, i push it a li'l harder, u know? "amp up," rt? i turn up the amplitude.
statistikally, more snowboarding accidents happen each yr than skateboarding accidents. i think there r 3 faktors that influence this: 1) a great variety'f ppl try snowboarding - old/young, male/female, athletik/non.athletik. ppl who simply don't get 'nuff exercise n' rn't that hearty, try to snowboard, thinkin' that it's a vehicle that u can just sort'f drive like a car or a bike. 2) skateboarding accidents r prob'ly under.reported cos lots'f those young kids don't go to the hospital or tell their parents n' the older guys r maybe embarassed to say they hurt themselves while skateboarding. 3) snow v. concrete makes ppl think they can go bigger... cos they think bailin' on snow's soft, while they know bailin' on concrete can give u severe "road rash" or worse. even tho' skateboarding tricks r hard, skaters (skateboarders) typikally don't jump as hi as snowboarders. (oh, those danny way n' bob burnquist mega.ramp skaters don't really count cos they're more like daredevils than skaters.) i know i've gone much higher up in the air on a snowboard than on a skateboard. the highest i've ever jumped on a skateboard's prob'ly only like 3', while the highest i've ever jumped on a snowboard? well, if u measure from the landing up to the peak of the parabola... *shrug* maybe like 10'? maube more? *big shrug* after all, when u do snowboard jumps, u'r landing's @ a lower eleveation, u know? cos u snowboard downhill. sure, there r guys like ryan sheckler that can ollie off rooftops n' land fine, rolling 'way. however, i c more guys on snowboarding taking jumps'f that height on a regular basis. *sigh* so yah... how big'll i go on my snowboard next season? when'll next season start? *breath* ok, how's ur day? so... i spent the morn in east san josé. i had to go to a machine shop out there 4 my werk. there r 2 vendors i often visit: 1 in east san jo, 'nother in san carlos (by redwood city). i aktually like getin' out'f the office n' visiting the vendors, who typikally treat me nice since we buy stuff from'em. i mean; they don't give me gifts or nethin', but 'least they're polite, n' that's nice. in my own office, 2 often ppl rn't very polite to me. well, i had to get this machine shop to do a quick job n' sed i'd wait 4 them to do it. the guy sed, he'd werk on it but told me to come back in an hr. he suggested that i go out n' get some coffee. well, instead, i went over to eastridge mall, went to the sears there, n' looked @ laundry dryers. oh yah, our laundry dryer cms to have pooped out. kaela remarked 2day, durin' lunch, that lots'f stuff in our house cms to be fallin' 'part now, now that we're in yr 4. strollin' thru the mall so early on a wkday morn really brought me back to my days in my 1st yr'f grad skool, when i didn't have classes or werk durin' the morn. *sigh* it was very refreshin'! i've gotta say, maybe those relaxin' times in the morn helped me get my brain ready 4 skool. i think if i got to have that kind'f time every day, i'd werk better. maybe my engring brain needs some non.engineerin' aktivity durin' the day. *shrug* *sigh* then 'gain, i'm sure every1 thinks i need to werk harder, so whate'er... well, goin 'to the picasso exhibit on sun was good rt brain stimulation! i had a better time than i expekted. i didn't realise it b4, but i really like pablo picasso's art. i like a certain style'f 20th century art from like the 1940s or so. i dunno whatchu call it or even if it's a single category or just a bunch'f random stuff. i thought the style was called "art deco," but i guess "art deco"'s more'f an architektural style n' an industrial design style than an art style; so i dunno whatchu call the kind'f art i like. like, 1 paintin' i like's this 1 that the sell reproduktions'f @ bed, bath, & beyond: it's got a man drivin' a car w/ his woman. the car's very 1940sish or 1950sish. the ppl have very sharp, contrastin' features n' a pretty angular look. i like that, n' i like paintings that look like the gordon biersch brewery logo. speakin'f gordon bierch, here's the wiki on bier... just cos it's a good article. it's good to know the diff btwn a lager n' an ale, etc.
can u believe u can buy a 1tb usb 2.0 drive 4 $269 (after $20 mir) @ buy.com? crazy! hd n' flash pri¢e$'ve dropped sooo much in the past yr or so! [later] gee, i wonder how long it'll be b4 we start cin' 500tb drives, etc. imagine a 512tb portable media playa!

'nother news item that i haven't discussed's the impostor stanfurd student(s). there were 2'f'em, rt? n' 'least 1'f'em was a korean.amerikan gurl, eh? d.oh! more somewhat negative stuff 'bout korean.amerikan college students in the news! well, shoot, gurl... if u were gonna fake bein' a college student; u could've 'least picked a better skool, like berkeley!!! ha ha ha... heh, in all seriousness, i did know some kids back in college who got kicked out'f berkeley but pretended to be students still n' didn't tell their parents. *sigh* it's a serious situation.
[just a li'l later] *sigh* i was tellin' kaela this wknd how i felt like i didn't do a great job organisin' my mom's b.day or mutha's day w/ my sista, n' i feel @ fault. i told her that i feel like the family views me as bein' an irresponsible, punk "baby" brutha. *sigh* i told kaela how i feel like that gurl in that katie holmes movie that tries to put on a t.giving dinner 4 her family. i'd 4gotten the title but did some research last nite n' found the title on wiki as pieces of april.
oh, 'nother news item this past wk was the wayward whales in the sacramento river: it was a mutha n' a son, rt? *shrug* ppl believe that they've now escaped back into the pacific ocean.
