The Berkeley Fiction Review is an undergraduate, student-run publication sponsored by the ASUC. We look for innovative short fiction that plays with form and content, as well as traditionally constructed stories with fresh voices and original ideas. We invite submissions of previously unpublished short stories year round and publish annually.

Sudden Fiction Contest
Prizes: $200 for First Place Winner. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place published in upcoming Issue #30.
Guidelines for submissions:
- Entries are $6 ($4 each additional story), check/ money order payable to "BFR Sudden Fix/ASUC".
- Typed, double-spaced, with a 12pt normal font.
- Must be 1000 words or less.
- Cover letter should include address, phone, email, and title of story.
- Include a SASE for a list of the winners.
Previously unpublished work only.
Submissions will not be returned. Extended deadline is February 20, 2010. Winners will be notified in April.
Artwork Needed
Berkeley Fiction Review is currently accepting art and photography submissions to be featured in Issue #30. Why not give your artwork the opportunity to be featured in our next issue?
Color artwork of any size OK. Please submit only artwork intended to be printed. No portfolios, please. Submission deadline for artwork to be considered for Issue #30 is March 13, 2009. Artwork received later than this date will be considered for Issue #31.
