We're not a part of any department or college. Research/professional interests: My research interests are in two somewhat distinct areas: (1) historical-cultural, (2) technical-policy. On the historical-cultural side, my master's project brings together the disciplines of environmental history, black history, and sociology in a study of wilderness, race and racism, and African American perceptions of and experiences in nature. On the technical-policy side, I have done a variety of work on climate change, environmental justice, and industrial ecology. Hobbies and Interests: Bicycling, music, and soccer and basketball.
