About Coach Li Qiang

Coach Li Qiang began her Wushu training when she was six years old. She trained and competed as a professional for 14 years. She was on the A Team of the Beijing Wushu Team, and won multiple national championships in broadsword, staff, double broadsword, and southern fist. Coach Li's vast experience in elite competitions, training, and teaching, has allowed her to develop her own style of instruction.

Coach Li's passion for Wushu and her dedication to the growth of the sport was clearly displayed when she coached two of her students to win positions on the A Team of the U.S. Wushu Team in 2007. Coach Li has the ability to spot each Wushu competitor's unique strengths and weaknesses. She emphasizes the importance of understanding and practicing basic movements. She wants her students to understand the technical aspects of the movements with their minds, feel the movements with their hearts, and complete the movements with their bodies. This is the only way for Wushu practitioners to fully comprehend the professional level of Wushu movement and spirit.

Training Goals

  • Elevate each Wushu student's technical movements, form, rhythm, and spirit according to each Wushu student's current skill level.
  • Improve each Wushu student's difficulty movements with various tips and techniques.
  • Bring out the unique strengths of each Wushu practitioner.
