What Are ShoutOuts?

Show your support for your friends and fellow competitors by creating a customized message which will be included in this year's program! Your submission may contain any* black and white text or image that you want. Additionally, you may combine multiple ShoutOuts into a single larger one!

* The contents of the ShoutOut must be suitable for general audiences. Please, no advertisements. Unsuitable or inappropriate submissions will be not be included and the purchcase price will not be refunded.

Options

A single ShoutOut is 1/8th of a page (approximately 4"x2.5") in size. If you would like more space, two, four, or even eight ShoutOuts may be combined to form a single larger ShoutOut.

ShoutOuts that only contain text will be printed in Times New Roman font and the font size will be scaled to fill the available space. If a specific font or formatting is desired, we recommend submitting the ShoutOut as an image instead of text.

Shoutouts that are images should be submitted in GIF, JPG, or PNG formats. Because the ShoutOuts will be printed in black and white, we recommend converting your image to grayscale before submitting it so you can be sure of what it looks like. A single ShoutOut should be approximately 800x500 pixels. When combining multiple ShoutOuts to form a larger one, scale up as appropriate.

Ordering

The price for a single (1/8th page) ShoutOut is $10. The prices for combining two, four, or eight are $20, $40, and $80 respectively. ShoutOuts must be received by 11:59 PM, Friday, March 21st, 2008.

To submit a ShoutOut:

  1. Send payment via PayPal to cmat16_payment@calwushu.com**. If you are not familiar with how to do so, see PayPal's help page for instructions.
  2. Check your email inbox for an email from PayPal confirming the payment which will contain a Transaction ID. Save the Transaction ID.
  3. Create an email to cmat16_payment@calwushu.com with a subject line of "ShoutOut Order [Transaction ID]". Remember to replace [Transaction ID] with the Transaction ID that arrived in the PayPal email confirmation.
  4. If the ShoutOut is only text, include the text in the body of the email.
  5. If the ShoutOut is an image, attach the image to the email.
  6. Send the email. You should receive a confirmation from CalWushu within two or three business days.
