My name is Jay Wang and I'm a third year majoring in bioengineering from Pleasanton, California. I started taking piano lessons when I was 6 and continued until I was 15. Back then, playing piano was just another chore I needed to do. However, since then I have realized how much music means to me. When I came to Cal, I got involved in CCM, as it provided an opportunity to share the music that I love and serve the community at the same time. CCM is making the world a better place, one concert at a time!

Hi, my name is David Huang and I'm a second year majoring in MCB and history. I first started playing music in second grade when, like most people, my parents signed me up for piano lessons. I've stuck with piano for about 12 years, but I've looked into other instruments too. My favorite instrument by far is the Chinese flute, which I've taken lessons for since junior high. Knowing that most people have no idea what the Chinese flute is or what Classical Chinese music sounds like, I hope to introduce a little diversity into our club and perhaps find some interesting ways to meld Chinese instruments with the great variety of Western instruments. Hope you guys have fun with the music you make!

Hey everyone, I'm Karey Park and I'm a fifth year Industrial Engineering and Operations Research major. I play mostly classical piano, both solo and chamber music (I'm a big Beethoven fanatic), but I really just love all music and I hope to see the diversity of musical styles within Cal Community Music continue to grow. Additionally, I'm also a hysterically devoted fan of live music -- please don't hesitate to talk to me if you have any questions or want some suggestions regarding shows or concerts to see in the Berkeley or San Francisco area. One of my hopes for CCM is to bring musicians to a more communal understanding of music, one that crosses generations as well as schools of musical thought, and I'm really grateful to have the opportunity to work towards this end.

Hey guys, my name is Curtis Wang, and I am currently a junior EECS major. I've been playing piano for about ten years and violin for about eight years. I'm also trying to learn guitar in my free time, so if anyone ever wants to jam or something, I'm down for that (even though I'm not very good). I mostly play classical music for piano and violin, and I've been learning a lot of popular music on guitar. That's all for now... if you want to know more, check out Facebook.

Hi, my name is Angela Shi and I'm a second year bioengineering major.  I have been playing classical piano since I was six years old.  Throughout these years, music has had a great influence on me, inspiring my creativity, teaching me to work hard and never give up, and offering me an escape from the everyday stress that life brings.  Through CCM, I hope to share my music with those around me, especially those who often don't have the chance to listen to live music.  I believe that we can make a difference in the lives of others through music, cheering them up and making their day just a little brighter.
