- We encourage you to come to as many concerts as you can! Please click on the event name to go to our sign-up page. (NEW!)
- If you tell us that you will be at an event, please make every effort to go. It reflects *very poorly* on our organization if the concerts do not have enough musicians because people who say they can go do not show up.
- We plan social events to encourage members to take advantage of the rich musical culture in the Bay Area. The socials are typically concerts at Zellerbach Hall and Hertz Hall on campus, or in San Francisco. Attendance is optional, and you are welcome to bring friends. The cost of the events vary: University Symphony concerts are $4, and SF and CalPerformances concerts generally do not exceed $25.
- WEEKEND CONCERTS
The weekend concerts are approximately one-hour long. Typically, each
player/ensemble performs one or two pieces (~10 minutes of music), but you should feel free to play for any length of time. The concerts typically include a half-hour of personal time for
mingling and talking with the residents, either prior to or immediately following the performances.
The weekend concerts require a time commitment of approximately 3 hours, including round-trip transportation time.
Please plan on arriving at the specified meeting place (Sproul Fountain) with your instrument and music 45 minutes before the scheduled start of the concert. Since we depend mainly on public transit to get to the performance venues, it is imperative that you arrive on time!
If you cannot make it to the meeting time but you have your own means of transportation, please plan on arriving at the site 10 minutes before the scheduled start time.
