Founders

The College Entrepreneur Organization at Berkeley was founded in the Fall of 2008 by two UC Berkeley freshmen, Aditya Mahesh and Saleh Altayyar. Aditya and Saleh both started their own businesses while in high school and continue to run their respective businesses during their time at UC Berkeley.

About the Founders

Aditya Mahesh

Aditya Mahesh is a senior at UC Berkeley majoring in Business Administration. He is the co-founder and President of SnipCrunch. Prior to SnipCrunch, Aditya founded BrightPrep Tutoring, a web-based college admissions consulting service. He also worked at Google on the launch of Google+ and has been featured in the Wall Street Jorunal, NBC, New York Times, VentureBeat, ReadWriteWeb, and a number of other mainstream and tech media outlets. In 2008, Aditya was selected as one of the Top 100 High School Entrepreneurs in the world by Andrew McKelvey, the founder of Monster.com, and received a $40,000 college scholarship.

Saleh Altayyar

Saleh Altayyar is a senior at UC Berkeley majoring in Technology and Entrepreneurship as part of the Interdisciplinary Studies program. He is the co-founder and VP of Business Development for SnipCrunch. Prior to SnipCrunch, Saleh founded Auto1Pay, a personalized shopping service for used cars based out of Modesto, CA. For the past three years, Saleh has been the sole-provider of his family of five. He has also worked in the Google in the sales department and has been featured in the Wall Street Journal and NBC for his entrepreneurial efforts. Saleh was also a recipient of the $40,000 McKelvey Foundation scholarship for top high school entrepreneurs.
