Notes on the Imperial dating system:
The Imperial dating system starts from the supposed foundation of the Empire. New Year's Day is the first day of Spring. Spring and Fall are considered to be for two hundred days (two months); Summer and Winter for three hundred days (three months) as these seasons are particularly long, and harsh in the middle.

The fifth and tenth days of the week (10 days) are holidays in most places in the Empire. In some places (notably Davinia) it is the ninth and tenth day. `And Erend spake unto us, "Let us rest after working, not break for comfort. On the evening of the ninth day, and that day only, may wine pass the lips of the infidel, so that he too is awake to observe the holy day, and work as any honest man." (Corben chapter 2, verse 5.)'
