This year, for the first time, Cal in the Capital students have the option to take courses while in DC. The online Summer Sessions Internship Course (ISF 187) will be taught by Joel Clark, UCDC Director, and offers students a chance to reflect on the internship experience and explore how it connects to academic and career goals. Students who register for at least 6 units are eligible for financial aid. If you are only taking online courses: - UC students will be charged a one-time reduced $6 Campus Fee, and then unit fees for your course(s). - Visiting students will pay a one-time $100 Registration Fee, and then unit fees for your course(s). - If you take any additional Summer Sessions courses (that aren't online courses), you are subject to the regular course fees. - At the time of enrollment, your CARS (student billing service) account will be assessed the regular full Summer Sessions Enrollment fees ($108 for UC Students, $385 for Visiting Students). On June 9, we will verify that you did not enroll in additional "non-online" courses. At that time, the additional charges will be removed from your CARS account, resulting in the above reduced enrollment fees. Berkeley Summer Sessions provides students with several levels of support. For technical questions, students will be able to call, email, or text chat with help desk representatives who are available 24x7. For administrative and logistical questions, students will be able to call their online program coordinator at Summer Sessions. -Students can find the online course at http://elearning.berkeley.edu -Students login to the course by clicking on the link to authenticate their CalNet ID. -24x7 Technical Help Desk – 1-866-786-8197 -Summer Sessions Student Services Staff (questions about course schedule, tuition, fees)– 510-642-5611 A need-based scholarship from the University of California Office of the President. Students must have at least a 3.0 GPA and be returning to Cal for at least one semester following their summer in DC. Scholarships made possible through our generous alumni! Applications are available each Spring. The 2009 awardees were notified on February 20, 2009. |
