Welcome.

I'm a Ph.D student at the University of California, Berkeley in the Applied Science and Technology (AS&T) graduate program. My research is done at the Center for X-ray Optics (CXRO) at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL). In my spare time you can usually find me playing guitar, riding my dirt bike, learning piano, fixing something, hiking, camping, or just relaxing.

The Myers & Briggs personality test says I am an ENTJ personality type but my score on the "T" part, which stands for thinking was only 1 out of 100, which means that I'm actually 50/50 between an ENTJ and an ENFJ type. Oddly enough, when I read over both of these personality profiles (ENTJ ENFJ), a mixture of them seemes to sum me up remarkably well.

Right: November 21 2008, Amsterdam. The finals for the Meltwater Scholarship, which my team ended up winning. For more info check out this video (Meltwater) or this article (Daily Californian).
