Membership

Becoming a member is easy! Membership dues are $10 a year or $25 for the rest of your life. Simply find our secretary at any of the cooking club events and fill out a short membership slip. Please email Shikha at secretary@cooking.berkeley.edu for more information.

You don’t have to be a member to come to general meetings or public events, so please feel free to stop by and enjoy yourself! If you do find yourself coming back, though, please do join — you'll be able to attend clinics, and the membership fee helps pay for meeting demonstrations and other club functions.

Want to get even more involved? To become a Cal Cooking Club officer, please email our president, Melisa, at president@cooking.berkeley.edu. We are currently looking for a Film Producer, Restaurant Clinic Chair, and will also consider creating new officer positions.

Committees

The Restaurant Committee
If you’re interested in increasing the number of restaurants we have clinics at, or want to become friends with local chefs, this is the committee for you! Members of this group pick the restaurants that we work with and arrange clinics there or hire the chef for a live cooking show at a general meeting. The Big Cook-Off Committee
Calling all school-spirited culinary-minded Cal students! Email Maria at vicepresident@cooking.berkeley.edu to help us plan the big event!

The Dining Club
The Dining Club meets for dinner at Berkeley restaurants to review their food and service. Email Maria at vicepresident@cooking.berkeley.edu to get on board!

The Publicity Committee
We are an army of foodies dedicated to spreading the news. Our tactics include creating and managing facebook events, chalking classroom blackboards, and designing and posting fliers. Join us if you are a fellow facebook addict, tagger, or artist! Email Amy at publicity@cooking.berkeley.edu to join!

Home Clinic Assistants
People are needed to grocery shop, help set up and take down home clinics, move supplies, and help plan the home clinics. Eventualy these people will be able to plan and organize their own home clinics. Email homeclinics@cooking.berkeley.edu to learn how to assist in the home clinics!

Home Clinic Chefs
Interested in teaching a unique cooking skill? It can be a family recipe or learned interests. Email Jesikah at homeclinics@cooking.berkeley.edu to teach a home clinic!
