[1/26/07] My 25th Bday Dinner
Since my actually birthday fell on a Thursday I decided to celebrate it on Friday that way I could see everyone. My lil sister Jenn drove me over to her work where I met up with Carlo and we headed over to Eunji's to pick her up. Then we went to this bar Sugar Lounge in Hayes Valley and met up with Jia, Lauren, and Tim. I love Sugar and it's a great after work bar because they have a live dj playing chill music and they have all these snacks like chocolate kisses and snickers and actual real food to eat for free.

We then headed off to Sauce for dinner and met up with everyone else being Alcorn, Eric, Derek, and Marcus. Haha yes I have noticed that most of my friends are guys and actually everyone was either a friend from high school or college. I thought the food was pretty good. I really loved the desserts and the portobello mushroom fries. After dinner we decided to hit up a bar called Laszlo on Mission Street. Marcus had the smart idea of driving to the bar instead of taking a cab so it took us forever to find parking and then we had to walk probably 5 blocks to the bar. I had the rest of the crew who took cabs calling me asking why I was taking forever =P. Mike and his friend Veronica ended up coming to the bars to hang with us too. Laszlo wasn't that fun and everyone wanted to dance so Alcorn told us to head down to 16th street to find some other bars. Man by the time I ended up at the bar on 16th street which I think was called Beach or something my feet seriously were killing me. I had fun at the bar and we all danced a lot.

I was pretty much just buzzed the whole night but didn't get drunk which was good since everyone else kept trading stores about how drunk I would get in college =P. thanks guys haha really but yah nope I'm all grown up now and turning into a boring ass person who doesn't seem to have that much time anymore. I really think I need to learn to sleep less that way I can do more fun stuff. But anyways I had a lot of fun and thanks to everyone who showed up. I love you guys =D.

[1/22/07] Reading Novels
My sister Lena borrowed the latest book by Christopher Buckley No way to Treat a First Lady which I really enjoyed and finished in a day instead of reading the stuff I have to read for class. Yeah I know I'm dumb but I haven't been that motivated this quarter lately. The book is by the same author who wrote Thank You for Smoking. I definitely want to read that book now or at least watch the movie. Basically the book I read is about the First Lady being on trial for killing her philandering husband which just happens to be the President of the United States. It's an easy and fun read and I would definitely recommend the book to anyone who wants to kill some time.

I'm in love with the furry boots over jeans look which all the movie stars seem to be doing lately because it's soo cold this winter. I ended up buying this pair of boots. I can't wait to get them in the mail =D.
[1/17/07] Wednesday Night Dinner
Every since I got back from Colorado I've been soo tired and just want to sleep but I can't because I'm behind in school. My stock investing class seems interesting but really hard. We had to switch Thursday night dinners to Wednesday night because I have class Thursday night. Marcus has been really busy with work so we're going to try really hard to keep it going. I forget sometimes that I haven't seen him and Lauren in a while even thou we live pretty close to each other. I made a curry beef with veggies that I thought was pretty yummy.

[1/12/07-1/15/07] Colorado Snowboarding Trip
Thursday: My lil sis Jenn drove me and Eunji to SFO around 10am. Our flight wasn't till 12:50 so we hung around the airport for a bit. We had a layover in LA before landing in Denver. We met up with Stone at the Denver airport. Stone's luggage didn't arrive with him so we ended up waiting for an hour hoping it would show up on the next flight. It luckily did come later on. Next we headed off the Budget to rent a car to drive to Colorado Springs where Eunji has a house. We saw soo many Walmarts along the highway and ended up stopping by one for food supplies. They stop selling alky at midnight in Colorado, which blew cuz we got there at 12:30am. We were hungry since we hadn't really eaten all day and stop by Waffle House to eat some really greasy but yummy food.

Friday: We weren't leaving for the cabin till 4pm so the three of us decided to explore Colorado Springs. We went to check out some places to rent snowboards and ended up also buying face masks and hand warmers, which were soo essential on the slopes. We grabbed food at Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch and had some beers. Minji, Brett, Doc, and Chris showed up at the house around 5ish. The drive to Breckenridge from Colorado Springs probably took about 3 hours. There was a lot of snow on the ground and we ended passing by 2 semi that tipped over. In Colorado everyone in the car but the driver can drink so we cracked open some beers. The cabin was impossible to find and everyone drove around the area for hours trying to find the right road. Chris' car got stuck in the snow so the guys and me ended up having to push it up some hills. Luckily Jena and Matt had an SUV and actually found the house. Once we got to the cabin it was pretty late and everyone was sorta annoyed. Then one of the toilets started leaking from the bottom because a pipe froze over, so we couldn't use any of the toilets and had to go outside and pee in the snow.

Saturday: All of us woke up decently early to hit the slopes. For some reason lift tickets are really expensive in Colorado. Normal price was $81 for the resort we went to but people had season passes so Me, Eunji, and Stone could get buddy passes for $51. The weather was pretty cold but sunny and it was definitely necessary to wear a face mask. The chair lifts up took forever but it was sweet once we got off since the runs went on forever. I had to stop a couple times down the mountain just cuz my legs were getting soo sore. I think I can go faster and I didn't really fall at all. By the end of the day my toes were frozen and I just wanted to get home to take off my boots. We got back to the cabin around 5ish and started making dinner and playing drinking games. For some reason it seemed really late but it would actually be early like I would think it was 10 but it was actually 7. Some of us played power hour which is basically taking a shot of beer every minute. It actually wasn't that bad but we were using some small glasses which helped.

Sunday: Day 2 of snowboarding was definitely a lot cooler than the first day. It snowed the night before so the slopes had some fresh powder but the sun wasn't really out at all. All of us were pretty tired from the first day still so we took it chill on the slopes. Ron, one of Minji's Airforce friends, picked up snowboarding pretty well and was decent for his second day snowboarding. Eunji finally learned to carve yay. We finally ended up seeing Renee near the end of the day and she came back to the cabin to hang out with us for a bit. Everyone ended up playing poker for shots meaning if you took a shot you got a hundred chips. Nicole was going crazy with the shots heheh. Upstairs was insanely hot with the fire going and the heat from the oven. I felt like I was in a sauna =P.

Monday: We basically cleaned up the cabin and spent the whole day traveling back to SF. We finally got home around 11pm. Stupid airlines and their flight delays. Now I gotta catch up with school since I ditched out on my Thursday classes. It would really help me a lot if my freaken textbooks came in the mail =P.

[1/10/07] Dad's Back
My pops is back home after a month in Taiwan taking care of family and business stuff. He got me a kick ass 25th bday present which I'm soo in love with haha yah I know I'm such a spoiled bitch but yunno what ever I'm really not so it's all good. I love my parents =D they give me such great gifts hehe. I know I know I'm turning soo materialistic but hey I don't really go shopping all that much and I not one of those expensive purse chicks =P. Oh I'm in love with my GPS that my sisters bought for me too. Now I'll actually drive out to the City even thou parking is still a pain in the ass at least now I know how to get around.
I haven't seen Malini in a while and she was in town to tutor some kids so I went out to lunch with her and her friend Erin. We got some really good Mexican food in Berkeley. I drove around Piedmont for bit. It's a very cute neighborhood totally would have gotten lost if I didn't have mister GPS heheh.
[1/6/07] Dragon Bar
Kathy decided to come up North after being at home for Winter break. The guys aka Alcorn, Carlo, and Derek haven't seen her for a while. We all hit up Dragon Bar a bar in North Beach. Dragon Bar was a chill venue the crowd was definitely more Asian then you had the random white guys but it wasn't that that obvious. The DJ started to flow at the end of the night which was pretty tight. Kathy and Ping ended up getting really drunk so I drove them to their car in Fruitvale. Kathy made me to talk to this Korean guy because I thought he was cute but nothing happened. This sketchy white guy started to dance with me but I'm over the nice body but probably a dick guy. Why oh why can't the decent ones ever come talk to me? I really think that I'm not Asian enough for the Asian guys haha seriously because I never have any of them talk to me just random ass white boys who I'm getting pretty sick of. Haha I guess it doesn't help that I ended up dancing with Derek and Alcorn. Carlo ended up getting some chicks number at the bar. Oh Kathy made me give my number to the Bday boy Dan's old roomie because I thought he look cool haha. Whatever I'm over guys and their drama at the moment.

[1/5/07] Hanging with Linh in SF
I haven't seen Linh since we hung out months ago and made cinnamon rolls. This time we decided to hang out in SF. We went to Cha Cha Cha's for lunch and man I love tapas. The dessert was soo good I definitely will get it again next time I go. We ended up shopping around the Haight area for a bit. I bought two more pairs of funky eyelashes - light green and a dark purple. Now I just need a reason to wear them hehee. We then headed off to an Asiany section of SF and got some bakery goodies. I do really want to move to the City eventually. I just need to find a job there hehe. We ended up getting manicures since we couldn't figure out anything else to do =D.
[1/1/07] New Years
I went down to San Jose with Carlo to go eat dinner at this restaurant Shayan's mom picked out. The food was pretty good but the cheapest thing on the menu was 60 bucks. I didn't feel like spending that much money this time for NYE which is why I decided not to go to SF, but I ended up splitting with Shayan so it wasn't that bad. Afterwards we headed up to CV to go to Troy's place. I haven't seen all the Stuckface guys since I dated Tylor haha. It was good hanging out with them well besides the fact that I got drunk and all this drama happened. Note to self must make more chick friends since guys like to fight each other when they're drunk =P. But then again man girls are soo much drama too so what to do what to do.
