[12/31/05] New Years in the City

I took my little sisters Windy and Jenn with me to the city for new years eve. First I picked up Eunji and Minji then on the way to Alcorn's I got lost =(. So yup I fucking hate the city and have decided I won't drive in it without a GPS heheh. Yah we were still trying to find Alcorn's place when new years hit. Man last year we were on the San Diego Trolley trying to meet up with everyone too. Anyways, we finally got to his place and then went to Dragon lounge a bar 2 blocks away. We stayed there for a bit then went back to his place to drink. Yahh so I really really drunk haha and blacked out again =/ but thanks to my lil sisters and Minji for taking care of me hehe. Dude Eunji and Minji always get me soo wasted. Haha I love it when I look back on the pictures on my camera and don't remember taking any of them and a good number of them I'm either taking a shot or have a drink in my hand =P. Thanks for the party Alcorn it was soooo fun hehe and always good to see high school people again. More pictures from the night.

[12/30/05] Dinner at T-rex & Chilling at Ed's House

Cameron discovered his BBQ place called T- Rex in Berkeley and made reservations for Me, Ed, Lauren, Lucas, and himself. Ed picked me up on the way up since I have no car anymore =(. Ok he doesn't have a afro ppl man and his hair basically looks the same sooo Hatch you're tripping and Lauren it's not that long =P. I was totally expecting him to look all weird and different but nope it's just the same old Ed. We were too busy talking and plus it was raining so we got lost trying to find the restaurant. Haha me and him at like an old married couple especially in the car and when we're trying to figure out how to go somewhere new. We like to argue which way he should drive and bicker about stupid shit. His friends even say we act like we're an old couple whatever if we feel like yelling at each other it's just we love each other sooo much heheh.

Dinner was really good I had Texas toast, Mac and cheese, and half a rack of baby back ribs. I'm sooo proud of myself cuz I finished like a 1/3 of my food hahaha then took the rest home and gave it to Kevin to eat later that night. So since we finished dinner early I just went over to Ed's house to hang out and chat. We watched Ghost busters 2 because I've never seen it before then Kevin came over later on. They ended up playing college football on play station while i tried to stay up but I'm pretty sure I passed out for a little bit.

[12/28/05] Hanging out with Minji

Minji's back in town for winter break so of course I had to hang out with her. I haven't seen her since last year around this time. I drove over to her sister's apartment to go pick her up for dinner and we ended up driving around the city forever trying to find a place to eat. Thank god for her GPS or we would have been screwed and lost in sf. We first hit up her BARF [Bay Area Riders Forum] meeting at this pub. It was kinda lame but some of the members had some nice ass bikes. One guy even had a customized Ducati =D. Guys on bikes are hot tho there was only one cute British guy there. Next we drove around looking for food and decided to stop buy a Korean BBQ place but the place was packed and we would have had to wait for a bit so we decided to drive on and found a cute pretty cheap sushi boat place. I had the same old sushi stuff I normally get but dessert was sooo yumm. I got the fried green tea ice cream =D.

Afterwards we went back to her sister's apartment and chatted for a bit. Wow does time really fly by man. I mean it really wasn't that long ago that me and her were hitting up Kips in Berkeley or watching fireworks at Sac Expo and then going crazy the rest of the night doing tequila body shots. 4 girls finished a 1/5 while the guys watched us get soo drunk heheh. Now she's just trying to get through with the Air Force Academy while I'm trying to figure out what I wanna do with my life. Oh another note it's been raining tons here so that means SNOOOWWW in the mountains. I think I'm gonna wear my new Burton boots around the house to break them in hehe =D. I feel like such a lil kid when I do stuff like that especially with my mom shaking her head at me thinking I'm crazy.

[12/22/05 - 12/24/05] Cal Football Vegas Bowl Game

I flew to Vegas in the morning and got in about 1ish. Then I met up with Trav, Cameron and Marcus at the Aladdin. They were just waking up from a night of crazy gambling and drinking. We went to the Aladdin mall to find food. Man Trav and Marcus were walking super fast and the fact that they have waaay longer legs than me didn't help. It's weird to be hanging out with a bunch of 6'3 guys when my friends in Taiwan are a lot shorter hehe. We ate some Mexican food then went to Paris' Sports Book to go bet on the game. Haha I forget how guys never like to ask for directions and of course casinos are super confusing because they don't want you to leave so it was a good thing that I kept asking for directions otherwise we would have taken a lot longer to get around.

We met up with Lauren, Lucas, and Rich at the Stadium. It was a sold out game with a crowd of only 40,000. There was a good number of BYU fans probably more than Cal fans. All the BYU fans went into the Stadium as soon as they got there while all the Cal fans were drinking in the parking lot. I haven't seen Rich since last year at the San Diego Bowl game. He's going off to Iraq in February =( for a while. Marcus bought us bowl tickets on the 35 yard line 9th row up from the bottom. We were sooo close and I could see everything it was crazy. The game was a pretty exciting game to watch thou we were yelling at the referee quite a bit. We won the game 35 to 28 but it was a bitter sweet win since most of us bet money on the game and since we didn't beat the 8 point spread we all lost =(. I only lost 20 bucks which wasn't too bad. After we got back to the hotel from the game Rich checked into the Aladdin and got upgraded to a suite on the 30th floor. Man it was freaken huge. There was like a 60 inch flat screen tv in the living room area where there was 3 couches and a bathroom off to the left hand side. There was a bar and a little dinning section, a tub, and bedroom with 2 queen size beds off to the right. The best part of the room was the crazy ass view of the strip. It basically looked like the scene from the beginning of the tv show Las Vegas. Haha yes we have moved up in the world because last time I was in Vegas we crammed like 20 ppl into a room which really wasn't that big at all. We prepartied with Kate and Katie till like 2am before heading out to this after hours club called Drais. At first there wasn't much people in the club but an hour later it was getting kinda packed. There were waaay more guys at the club than girls so Trav kept telling me and Kate we had our pick of guys but we mostly just danced with Rich and Trav. I noticed and Rich's sister Shannon even mentioned it but white guys in Vegas don't really dance with you they're more whatever I'm going to do my own thing and not even try to hit on you while black guys will just come up and dance with you. So yah me, Kate, and Katie were getting not cute black guys who kept trying to dance with us =P. Hahaha. I had lots of fun at the club tho and didn't get that drunk ;).

The next day me and Rich slept till like 4pm haha. It was crazy because we woke up around 10ish and heard Cameron cleaning up a bit. Trav left without saying good bye =(. Lauren, Lucas, and Cameron went to the Old Vegas to gamble a bit so we met up with them after we grabbed our first meal of the day at New York New York. Since the losers aka Lauren and Lucas didn't want to go to the club with us last night we decided to find some place to go that they would wanna hang out at. Rich's sister Shannon came over and hung out with us. 6 people can't fit in a cab so we took a limo to the Wynn hotel to check it out. Apparently it cost like a billion dollars to build. It was pretty nice and poshy and even has a Ferrari store but it was waay to expensive to hang out and drink at. So we went across the street to Gilley's this country bar. They played hip hop music and country. Line dancing looks fun but I didn't want to try it and look totally stupid hehe. Ohhh Lucas and me were talking and then he points out that I'm the only Asian person in the bar, so then I looked around and yup it was true haha. We decided to call it an early night since most of us were leaving the next day and they all had to drive home while I got to fly home hehe. More pictures from the trip

[12/20/05] Flying Home

Awww sooo sad I'm flying home so it's the last time I'm gonna see Carolin my roomie, Lisa and Malissa, Peter, and Dennis. I didn't even get to say byeee to Dennis in person =(. At least Lisa hurried and ran home to give me a hug goodbye heheh. Stupid boys jk. So today is my day of pretending to be a baller hehe. X's driver came in his Mercedes and drove me, X, and Melissa to the airport. The three of us then had to split up cuz we were going to different parts of the terminal =(. Haha then I discover the China Airlines VIP Lounge with food, drinks, and ta da WIRELESS hehe. So thus I went online. My plane leaves in about 30 minutes but I've been sitting here for like at least 2 hours or more. Iz all good cuz I just ended up chatting on AIM hehehe. Yah but this will be my first time in business class. I'm excited my uncle upgraded me with his mileage credits. I'm probably gonna sleep then watch a ton of movies haha. I only got 4 hours of sleep last night. Soon I will be home can't wait =D.

[12/19/05] Color Contacts

Haha since I've gotten to Taiwan I really like to play with color contacts. Some look alot more natural and better in person while others just look cool in pictures. I think i'm gonna get some color contacts when I get back to the states I just don't know what color to get. So below are some of the ones I've tried out so far.

Hazel - the most recent addition the most natural one I think	Green - got it for Halloween to light colored tho	Gray - the first color I tried. My cousin gave them to me way back in Sept

[12/17/05] Karaoking for the first time @ Party World

I went with Cali Kids to go karaoking. We had a good number of people go it was Me, Lea, X, Vinnie, Joe, Jenny, Warren, James, Lisa, Scott, Dennis, and Eliver. Haha I just realized that besides Dennis, Eliver, and Lisa the rest of us are going stay around for a year. Ohh and I guess I'm the only one out of them that's actually gonna go home to the states =P. Whatever I see them too much neways I miss my Cali friends and family plus CAL BOWL GAME IN VEGAS. Whooo hooo kick ass haha. So yah I guess I'm the most white washed out of the group cuz whenever they put asian songs on I had nooo clue and after a while it started getting boring and I wanted to go to sleep haha. But you don't understand we were there for 5 freaken hours and there was like umm maybe 10 english songs and the rest where in Mandarin. I can't read fast enough nor recognize enough characters to actually sing those songs =P. I still had fun I dunno about ever going again tho hahahah. I rather do something else.

[12/16/05] Tea house with Teacher, Cali Kids Xmas Dinner, Andreas 24th Bday at Face

My moral teacher took our class to go drink tea at a Tea shop. Apparently there's a specific way to drink Chinese tea to get the most out of the flavor. The lady gave us a explanation and then we drank two kinds of tea. I thought it pretty much tasted like the tea my parents and grandparents drink but then again they drink the super expensive kind so it wasn't like the tea shop stuff was that special. There was a lot of us soo I felt bad cuz our teachers treated us and it ended up being more expensive than I thought.

We then hurried home to get ready for the good bye dinner that our program threw for us. We went to this nice hotel and had a buffet with a lot of pretty good food. We then proceeded to take a million pictures with our friends, teachers and classmates. Pictures can be found here. Then me and Lea took a taxi home so I could get ready to go clubbing for Andreas' 24th Bday party. I met all these Europeans and Taiwanese girls that I totally forgot their name right after I was introduced to them haha. I had a lot of fun and actually ended up practicing my Mandarin with some of the local people and some even thought I was actually from Taiwan =P. I guess I'm blending in a lot more haha cuz in the beginning they could tell I was American just by looking at me. Taiwanese really like to take a birthday cake and put it on people's faces so I have pictures of that haha. Crazy times.

[12/10/05] Danshui, Shilin, Ximen Ding

I've been shopping with the girls for xmas present we've hit up all the big shopping places and come back with a good amount of stuff hehe. Next week is gonna suck a mother so I probably won't be blogging till the end of that. Ahhh if things go the way I plan I'm not gonna be on my computer all next week cuz I really have that much shift to do. GAhhhh man so don't wanna study my ass off but I know I gotta. Anyways, there's really cute puppies at Shilin so here's something to brighten up your day hehe. I want a lil furry ball of goodness to play with and baby. Man I want a puppy hehe.

[12/04/05] Jiufen and Gold Mountain

The NTUSIS club on campus took us to Jiufen which is about an hour north of Taipei to go check out old streets where we could go shopping and try out special street vendor food. Me, Melissa, and Christine went around shopping for presents for friends and didn't really get to eat lunch tho we did have this yummy roasted mushroom. Me and Melissa were matching because we were both wearing pink jackets. The wind was really cold so everyone was pretty much freezing when we got to Gold Mountain. Now I have two weeks left in Taiwan before I'm back home sooo I have hella school shit to do. Man theses next two weeks are gonna suck ass. Stupid papers and oral speeches and oral skits not to mention trying to remember tons of stupid chinese characters. Yah I'm not looking forward to these next 2 weeks.

[12/02/05] Cindy's Bday dinner then clubbing at Room 18

Cindy's bday was on Monday so we decided to go out for her bday on Friday night. The restaurant was across from the campus and the food was alright it just sucked cause it took forever for them to bring it out and we were starving by the time we got it. Scotty bike me and him over so I had to stand on these 2 pegs that come out of his back tire. I gotta say the ride over and back was a lot more fun and comfortable than the last time I was on a bike hehe. We prepartied in the dorms before heading over to a club called Room 18. I had like a 4 shots and a beer then two more drinks at the club but I wasn't that crazy hahah or at least I didn't think I was =P. Me and Melissa went over to Vinne's room to hang out and talk then I accidentally fell asleep and stole Vinnie's bed. Sowwie Vinnay haha I like your blanket tho. It's really warm.
