[3/30/05] Evita and Cheesecake Factory with my Mom

Lena bought my parents Evita tickets because when they were younger and lived in New York City Evita was the only Broadway show they got to watch. The seats they had were really far away and my pops was saying that they could barely see the actors. Lena thought it would be cute for them to watch it again this time with much better seats. My dad didn't want to go anymore so I took my Mom to SF. She's never had Italian food at a restaurant before so I took her to the Cheesecake Factory. Macy's was having their annual flower show and this years theme was Asian culture. There was a huge dragon in front of Macy's surrounding the sign.

The wait at Cheesecake Factory wasn't super long but we did have to wait a bit. My mom wasn't used to crowd waiting to be seated. My pops hates waiting and crowds of people even more so I doubt I'll ever take him there. The food was pretty yum and we got to sit outside in the patio. We ordered this really good Thai lettuce wrap for an appetizer and a spicy pasta dish. We were so full that we didn't get to order cheesecake for dessert. =(.

Evita was ok. It was at the Golden Gate Theatre in San Francisco. The two leader singers had their understudies sing their roles so they singing wasn't that great. I think me and my mom were both pretty tired and we almost feel asleep during the first half of the musical. I think my mom had a good time tho since she doesn't really go out that much anymore.

[3/28/05] Happy Bday Lena

My big sis Lena is now 25. Happy Bday to her. This is a picture of the yummy cake we got.

[3/19-3/25] New York Trip

Me and Lena went to New York for Spring Break. It was our graduation present from our parents since Lena just graduated with her MBA and I didn't get to go anywhere when I graduated from Berk. I'll just post one picture for now and update what we did later since I'm so swamped with work at the moment.

[3/6/05] Dinner @ Foreign Cinema

Steph came up for a couple days so Ed kinda planned out the weekend cuz I was getting too annoying figuring things out and tossed it in his lap. He chose Foreign Cinema for dinner. This place plays foreign movies against the neighboring building outside while people eat. The food was actually pretty good and everyone seemed to enjoy the restaurant alot. The only thing that really sucked was the service man. It took us 3 times asking for extra bread before they brought some over and they totally forgot Lucas' dinner. After dinner everyone heading home and Ed drove me and Steph to Suchie's apt. The three of us were gonna spend the night get breakfast in North Beach the next morning and drop Steph off at the Oakland airport afterwards. Breakfast was nice and we sat at this small cafe talking for a good while. You know when you haven't seen a friend in a while you don't really care if you don't do much when you hang out cuz mostly you just wanna talk to the person. When Ed was dropping me off at home we saw this beamer with an old lady crashed into a pole up on the sidewalk. We got out and make sure she was ok and coherent and stayed with her till the firetrucks arrived. One of the firefighters was a cutiee heheh. Man someone sideswipped the old lady so she crashed into the sidewalk and then they just drove off. Man that's so fucked up ... god I hate ppl sometimes.

[3/4/05] Dinner @ Sabine's, Top of the Mark later on

Sabine decided to have dinner at her place so I barted up to Berk and had Malini pick me up. We were running a tad late so I think everyone thought I was gonna turn into the time nazi and be a super bitch. I actually didn't think I was that bad and didn't end up yelling at anyone but gently urged ppl to get their ass in gear heheh. Blake and Charley were over and some other people I didn't know besides the normal crew ie Dave, Stevo, Christina, and Trav. Dinner was very yummy and I made sure I ate enough especially since I was planning on drinking later that night. Celina is actually really good with makeup and she fixed my eyeliner and did Malini's eye makeup. I told Steph that we would be in SF around 10 to 10:30. It was already 10 and we hadn't let yet because the girls were still getting ready. I ended up riding with Blake to the Mark Hopkins hotel. Top of the Mark is this bar that plays live jazz on the 19th floor of the hotel. Dude in the valet section there was a brand new porche and a escalade. Pish posh man for real. Carlo, Shayan, and Alcorn met up with us at the bar. Drinks were pretty pricey but the atomosphere and the music was really nice. Most of us didn't really know how to dance to jazz so we were kinda doing swing stuff and twirling alot hehe. Top of the Mark closed at 1pm so we decided to head off to Suite 181 and go dancing. Alcorn worked his magic and got us all in for half off. The upper level was playing some funky music so we went downstairs where the hip hop was. We ended up dancing till like 3am before we were all pooped and decided to head back home.
