[3/20/06 - 3/24/06] Spring Break at Green Island, Ruei Suei, and Taitung
The plan: Taitung half
day, Green Island 3 days, Rei Shui one night and a day
The People: Me, X, Lea, Jenny, Daniel, Warren, Dexter, Vinnie, and Quincy
At Green Island there weren't many people around so it felt like we basically
had the whole island to ourselves. We rented scooters so we explored the island
that way. The island is really small with only one main road and one 7-11.
After we got there we went snorkeling, which was soo fun because the fish
and coral were soo pretty and I got to get close to the fish. They totally
ignored us and did their own thing while I felt like I was in Finding Nemo
heheh. I wish I could have taken pictures but nope didn't have an underwater
camera. Man I love being on scooters or motorcycles =D. I just want to say
thanks to Daniel who drove me around and luckily none of us got into an accident.
Carolin just recently went to Lanyu with her friends and fell on the scooter
and got some bad scraps =(. We end up going to two different hot springs on
the trip. Neither of them were as good or nice as the one I went to in Japan
with my folks. Green Island back in the day was where they sent all the prisoners
from Taiwan so there's this huge memorial to remember the political prisoners
that died there. Now on to the pictures.

[3/17/06] Going out to the Bed II and Lava/Patio
I've been a home body lately just cuz I got sick and all I ever wanted to do was sleep plus the weather was really crappy for a while. I finally started to get better today which works out perfectly since it's the start of my spring break =D. My friend Jeremy was promoting a party at the Bed II so I ended up bringing a crap load of people. The people who came were Lea, Jenny, Amanda, Scotty, Derek, Vinnie, Aki, Yukiko, Naho, David, Wayne, and a couple other people I can't think of right now. Soo the Bed II is a lounge bar where you basically just sit around and drink. It's pretty nice but soo expensive. Since we booked a table they wanted to spend a minimum of 240 bucks. Holy crap huh that's soo expensive but good thing my friends have me ;) I ended up talking to Jeremy and he hooked it up so he bought one bottle of Grey Goose vodka for us so we only had to spend 120 bucks. Oh yah it was 120 bucks for a bottle of grey. Jeremy also got his friend and business partner to come over and give us free shots in our mouth hehe. So after all the guys got drunk off the free shots ie Wayne and Derek ;) haha we the girls decided that we wanted to go dancing to we heading off to Room 18. Room 18 ended up being gay and wouldn't let us in with student IDs so we went to Lava next door. I thought the music was pretty good and we ended up dancing for like 3 hours. By the end of the night my feet were really killing me especially since I was sobering up too =P but I had lots of fun. More pictures from the night.

[3/09/06] Ice Skating
Santa one of the volunteers was going ice skating with a bunch of his friends so he invited Vinnie who told me about it. We only ended up ice skating for like an hour but still it was a lot of fun. Kat, Carolin, Vinnie, Crystal, Dice, Lea, and me were the ones I really ended up talking to. Yah ice skater guys are pretty fruity I would much rather date a hockey player heheh. Ahh ice skating made me miss snowboarding soo much *sniff *sniff. I heard that it's super cold in the Bay right now and that it might even snow. Ahh lucky butts it's starting to get hot and humid here in Taiwan yayyy soo fun hehe. I think the last time I went ice skating was when I was 7 or so with my sisters cuz we took ice skating lessons at Fashion Island in San Mateo. I've been pretty lazy lately just doing homework and going out shopping a little bit. I see Kat pretty often and we usually end up grabbing food or something. Haha she's soo in love with the food here but I've tasted most of it soo I'm pretty much ehh it's alright not that great =P.
[3/06/06] Nothing Much Lately
I've been kicking it with Kat at least one day a week and just wandering the city with our maps and her lonely planet. We keep walking in the wrong direction tho so I finally bought a compass. We hit up MOCA, the museum of Contemporary Art and saw a Italian Fashion exhibit that was pretty cool. I downloaded the Second Season of Project Runway for Lena and started watching that when I'm bored hahah. School is pretty much same old same old deal. I went over to Kathy's uncle's house for dinner the other day. He's really cool and it's fun talking to him in business. We mostly speak in Mandarin so I get to practice my conversation skills. He knows a lot about business and was even suggesting possible jobs I could do in the future. Tonight is my first night of the cooking club so that should be interesting. It's every Monday for 3 hours =D. Apparently, tons of Taiwanese chicks here don't cook at all, which I find sooo weird since I've been cooking since high school. Oh well. Ohh I love puppies and Paul just got one so I can go play with her now since I can't really go see Taylor anymore =/. Oh well Bailey's super cute so it's all good.
The first day of cooking class we didn't do much and they just gave us food to eat. Afterwards, we ended up going to a Belgium bar in Gong Guan for a beer before heading home to do homework. My ass hurts from sitting on the back of Dice's bike but biking is waaay better than walking. European guys tend to be more nerdy cute while American guys are more jock cute. I don't really mind if the guys is skinny as long as he's also tall but skinny and short doesn't cut it in my book =P.
