[4/18/08 - 4/20/08] Yosemite Camping Trip
Cameron loves camping, so he invited Lauren and me and our bfs to come camping at Upper pines with him and his friend Erik. Cameron probably goes camping about 15 times during the year. The first night we got to the campground right before it got dark, which luckily gave us enough time to set up our tents before it got dark. The first night we drank jack and coke around the camp fire while making smores.
The next morning me and Erik woke up early and headed over to Yosemite village to pick up some soy milk and walk around a bit while the rest of the group was still sleeping. Once everyone was up and had ate the plan was to hike up to the waterfalls. We started out on the same trail as the half dome trail. I totally forgot how tiring the beginning part is especially since it's all uphill mostly with a steep grade. The waterfalls were soo pretty and had tons of water gushing down them. By the time we got to the stone steps of Vernal Falls everyone but Cameron, Erik and I had turned back to camp. We decided to go back the John Muir way so we wouldn't have to go down the slipper stone steps. The John Muir trail is also less steep but it had a bunch of snow on our path still. Some parts were definitely a bit tricky and scary to go down. I didn't like the snow much because I was afraid I would slip and fall off down the hill. Sometimes I don't know why I do the things I do haha. I definitely wasn't that happy on the trip back. It reminded me waay too much of our half dome trip and the horrible long hike back down.

[4/15/08] Passed the LEED AP test
I've been hardcore studying for the LEED NC test since January, which is partially why I haven't been going out much on the weekends. The day to take the test finally came. I felt pretty prepared since I had studied the whole reference book and taken 7 practice test, but I knew the test could easily kick my ass with a few hard questions. I ended up passing the test yay.
[4/2/08] Day Trip to Alpine
Erik and I definitely wanted to go snowboarding one last time this season especially since it rained so much during the winter. He took the day off and we rode the Skibus up to Tahoe. It was great since neither of us had to drive and we could both just sleep the whole way up and down. It was Erik's 3rd time ever snowboarding so I decided to try and take him down some easy blues. By the end up the day he seemed to carve better. Some of the trails where a bit hard for him but he finally figured out how to just coast on his backside for the steep sections. The lifts rarely had any lines at all and it was great, because we got to get a lot more runs in. On the bus ride home we watch Borne Supremacy and I am Legend.
