[5/30/06] Taking SJSU to Roxy Jr Cafe
Carlo's roomie Mike came to Taipei for 3 days to visit various companies and a nuclear power plant. Actually their trip sounds really cool and too bad there wasn't anything like this at Berk. They're hitting up Hong Kong and Beijing too. I haven't even been to China yet =(. It was soo funny once I got to the hotel a bunch of them were hanging out in the lobby and once they figured out I could speak English they kept asking where they should go to, so I ended up just taking all of them with us. Enginnering guys are really odd I mean there are some normal ones. Mike would be one of those, but there were others who were really shy and even ended up sitting across the room instead of with us and did not really talk to me, Jenny, Lea, or Carolin. They then asked Mike how to talk to us haha uhh sitting next or near by us would be a good step forward =P. Then there were the weird kinda sketchy dorky ones like you wouldn't expect the shit that comes out of their mouth especially since they're kinda dorky. I found another person to go board with hehe. Yah I really need to start collecting more that way this coming season I end up going up lot =D hehe.
Oh I ended up ditching my calligraphy class but my teacher is soo cool and he ended up writing llittle poems for each student with their names in it. I have no clue what mines says so I'm going to have to ask my parents, but this scroll is going to kinda of be hard to take home without getting squished =(. 3 more finals to go then I'm free too bad I soo don't wanna study for any. 2 more weeks left in Taiwan once finals are over I'm going to start getting sad =(.

[5/24/06] Studio Picture
I got my studio pictures back today and I like some picture and others are ehhh. I don't really think they did much on the photoshopping part. I think they made me look whiter than I actually am. I wanted them to make me look skinner haha. I dunno why but my face seems really round to me =(. I hate how the camera adds 10 lbs to you boo. In general I think the book looks pretty cool tho I'm not very smiley in most of the pictures because the photographer didn't want me to smile haha why I have no clue =P.

[5/20/06] Hanging Out
A bunch of us went to the Breeze Center to watch the Da Vinci Code. I really liked the book but I didn't really like the movie that much. There's this graduation dance which is sorta like a prom at the end of the year so me and Lea have been trying to look for a dress.. We met up with X and took sticky pictures in Ximen. Only 2 more weeks of school and 3 and half more weeks till I go home yayy.

[5/18/06] Venting
I hate stupid freaken nerds man. They are such a pain in the ass. If I ever catch one just starting at me because they think I'm cute I think I'll smash their face in. We only have 2 weeks of school left and we're learning hard ass words like radio active, nuclear, ozone layer, ultraviolet rays, etc like I'll really remember this in 4 months. One of my teacher was suggesting that we just review the rest of the time but nooo the nerd in our class wants to learn new stuff. Fucking A if you wanna learn the material that badly learn it yourself don't make everyone's life miserable. Lately, I've been pretty stressed out about life and everything but school, so those who only have to deal with school don't know how lucky they are. I've been trying out this new stress diet where I've been eating 2 apples for dinner and not much during the day. No I'm not turning anorexic I just really don't have time to eat plus not that hungry. Plus lately I've been getting like 6 hours of sleep at most soo yahh that also isn't making me very happy. So if you wanna be continue to be my friend stop causing me unnecessary stress, don't be late when we hang out, and don't piss me off. The end =D.
[5/16/06] Vinnie's 21st Bday Dinner
Vinnie is finally 21 now Joe is the only one who is still 20 =P. Me, Lea, X, Phobe, Jenny, Scott, Derek, Wayne, Daniel, Warren, James, Joe, Shinpei, Vinnie, and Dexter decided to go to Chili's at Neo 19 for dinner. Dinner was pretty good and we haven't all hung out in a while. The only thing that sorta sucked was that I got home from dinner at 10 and had to start doing homework. I half assed everything and still ended up going to bed at 1am. The rest of the crew decided to go sing karoke and got home at 3am. We only have about 2 and half more weeks of class but the content of the stuff we're learning now is waay harder and I really don't care that much anymore. I'm sick of learning Mandarin and I need to find a job. I wish classes would be more chill and just review but nope can't have that grrrr. More pictures from the night here.

[5/13/06] The Countdown begins
I went to go see Mission Impossible 3 with Lea, Scotty, Derek and Daniel. I thought the movie was very entertaining and exactly what you expect from a summer blockbuster =P. While we were walking around we saw some cute vodoo dolls and end up buying some. These have been the craze lately in Taiwan with girls. Even my cousin Michelle was telling me about it. Well I only have a few more weeks left in Taiwan. It's coming to an end soo soon. 2 weeks till I can go pick up my studio pictures. 3 weeks of school left. 4 weeks till I go down to Kaohsuing and go see my relatives. 5 weeks till I'm back in the Bay. My sister's bf thinks I'm turning too fobby here in Taiwan. He's starting a political movement to stop the spread of Asian Fobiness to Chrissy. It's a grassroots campaign. Muahaha. I don't have anything hanging off my key chain yet but then again the way it's designed I can't really hang anything off it =P.

[5/11/06] Celebrating Carolin's 23 Bday
My roomie turns 23 on Friday but she wanted to celebrate her bday on Thursday night so we all went to dinner then KTV afterwards. We ate at this restaurant called Bongos in Gong Guan. We seriously waited like an hour to get our food and it wasn't that great. I don't think I'll go there again just cuz I hate waiting and it's not worth it. The Europeans from the second floor came with us and I met Carolin's Brazilian pilot. He's really cute in person but not that photogenic, which is weird huh how can you be cute but not photogenic. Anyway, I want a cute Brazilian guy toooo heheh. We then went to Cashbox at Zhong Xiao Dunhua didn't really know where it was so we kinda got lost till this really nice Chinese lady saw me walking around with a bunch of white guys and Lea and tried to help us out. She was really cool. KTV was a lot more fun this time since we and a better mix of Chinese and English songs plus since my Chinese is improving so I can semi kinda read the songs now. We got home around 230 but I didn't get to sleep till 4am so I went to class on 4 hours of sleep, which wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The things I do for my friends heheh but really I had a blast. I have three more weeks of school left. That is just sooo crazy I mean I've been here since Sept. It's gonna be soo sad leaving.

[5/8/06] Hey I Can Actually Read hehehe
The weather is starting to get hot in Taipei so I went to go thin out my hair, while I was there I picked up a magazine and started to read an article. Much to my surprise I could read a lot of the words actually and I semi sorta knew what they were talking about. I'm actually learning Mandarin hahaha. I mean I probably really retain like 50 percent of the stuff I learn in class but it's finally working. Today I was bored so I borrowed Jenny's Rain concert dvd and put on the Chinese subtitles. I can understand his songs and read the lyrics for most of them granted they're mostly about love but I feel soo proud of myself cuz coming to Taiwan really has improved my Chinese a lot even tho I bitch about it to everyone and their mother haha. I only have about 6 more weeks here then I'm coming homeeee. Haha I'm not that smart because 2 days after I get home I'm gonna go see Hairspray with a friend, then the day after it's my lil sis Windy's graduation from college and the next day I start summer school. Yah hopefully I get used to the time change pretty fast hehe.

[5/3/06] Foreigners Night at Club Wax
Me, Lea, Dice, Carolin, Andi and his friend from home decided to hit up Club Wax for foreigners night, which basically means that for 3 USD and a foreign passport it's all you can drink. Since Club Wax isn't that far away we decided to bike there, which is actually kinda scary because we were riding our bikes on the street with all the cars and motorcycles. We all got there in one piece luckily. Once I got inside I noticed that there were a lot of black and Mexican looking guys. The first thing that obviously pops into my head is what the hell are they doing in Taiwan. I mean they can't all be here to learn Mandarin. I didn't end up talking to any of them so I still don't know why they are here haha. On all foreigners night you kind get the same crowd of people so there's a bunch you've seen at another club some other time. There's a lot of white guys with Asian girl friends. Me and Lea only had one drink since we had 9 am classes the next day. I haven't gone out dancing in a while so it was fun just going out there to dance. I didn't even wanna bother with guys I was just happy dancing. Ohhh so this one Chinese kid kinda dorky kept bumping into me or Lea like he wanted to dance with us or something ... you know the lame ass thing guys do at clubs to get your attention and hopefully you start dancing with them. Yah, well he kept doing that so the next time he did it i shoved him and really wanted to punch his face in because he wouldn't stop it. Needless to say that didn't happen since Carolin and Lea tried to distract me and made the guy go away. Ooh another thing that ticked me off was slutty girls all hootched out that push people around as they go back and forth between the dance floor and bar. Yah I kinda wanted to hit them too totally would have kicked their ass considering they're sticks and would probably break and cry if i just hit them. Hahah noo I don't have anger issues but if I'm not drunk at a club I don't like random people encroaching in my personal space =P.
