[6/26/05] Stinson Beach and driving around in Marin

Me and Ed tried to plan a trip to the beach to hang out and bbq but it didn't end up working out that well. The only people who ended up showing up were Cameron, Marcus, Ed, and me plus the weather was a bit cold and the sun didn't come out until 4pmish. I jammed my thumb throwing the football with Ed. Yeah I still suck at football hehe. Cameron took us on this road that lead to a dam. There were trees everywhere and I swear I felt like I was in Washington or Oregon even thou I've never been to either of those states in my life hehe.

[6/24/05] Party at my house

My parents were out of town for a week visiting Canada so of course I like always ended up throwing something at my house. It was a really chill thing since I dunno ever since I graduated college I don't like hanging out with a bunch of people I don't know. I rather hang out with my friends yunnno. So Ed, Carlo, Derek, Alcorn, Trav, and Linh showed up. Yes none of my other chick friends wanted to hang out with me =(. Anyways, we most just hung around and Carlo set up his new PS2 so we played video games till the wee early hours of 6am. Yeah I passed out around 4ish I think good times thou good times.

[6/13/05] Hiking 10 Miles in Muir Woods

Ed was bored and wanted to go hiking in Muir Woods so he called up his high school friends Kevin and Pj. I've met both before but haven't seen them in a while. Kevin brought his girlfriend Alice along too. Ed saw some web site with cool pictures so he wanted to go there. The rest of us were kinda ehhh whatever and it was pretty much all our first time hiking.

We were basically following Ed on the trails and we hiked out of Muir Woods. We ended up at this park ranger station where it was a good thing that Ed took pictures of the map because we didn't really even know where we were going. It just felt like we were hiking forever plus it was nice sunny day and there wasn't much shade once we were on the costal trail. We really wanted to go down to a Stinton Beach but thought that was too far away. Haha little did we know that we would end up walking wayyyy more than the distance to Stinton Beach.

The trail ended and hit Highway 1. This dumb ass lady on a bike told us our destination was about 15 minutes away so we walked on. It was actually way more than that since we never found it on foot. We walked like seriously 4 miles on Highway 1. Not that great of an idea cuz you can get hit by cars but not much we could do about it. Pj got great shots of the ocean because we were walking along side of it =P. Never again man views are much better seen from a car. There was road construction going on and the workers ended up talking to us a bit and we explained our situation. We ended up turning around and walking back the way we came so they saw us. Right after we passed the road construction a park ranger car comes and stops for us. He ended up driving me and Ed back to Ed's car.

After we picked up Kevin, Alice, and Pj we headed off to Stinson Beach for dinner. It's a small cute little town but I would hate living there. The food was alright fries kinda a little bit too crispy. Once dinner was over we drove back home. YAYY home never thought I would see it again ... haha just kidding we were never really that lost it was more like we knew how much we had to walk back to the car and it was alot like 5 miles. Thank god for park rangers.

[6/12/05] White Water River Rafting on the American River

Linh set up the river rafting trip and it was a big pain in the ass since alot of people would change their minds and cancel while others wanted to get added in last minute. I'm so glad that I didn't have to deal with it. Our trip was a class III/III+ on the American River and 21 miles. Our trip started at 9am and ended at 5pm. I thought they did a pretty good job and lunch was actually pretty decent.

I didn't know alot of the people who went because it all ended up being friends of friends. I drove up to Anna's apt in Berk at 6:30am then her friend Jack, who also went to Cal and was an Econ major, drove me, Anna, Jimmy, and Alvin to Camp Lotus, which is near Sacramento where we were suppose to meet up. I saw Janice on the trip. She works at the same company my sister Lena does haha so random. She just started a couple weeks ago. Lena's thinking of moving on and finding a new job.

Our guide was named Dave and he's our age. Haha I learned alot about him since our group wasn't that talkative. I think its because none of us really knew each other and only knew Anna. She was our bond hehe. The river was pretty cold so we had to wear wet suits. Those kinda smelled but you got over it. I first started out on the right side in the middle section behind Alvin. The front row gets so wet because they get splashed first. The first half of the day was pretty fun the rapids weren't as bad as we thought. I think everyone started getting cocky even our guide. We were about 10 minutes away from stopping for lunch when we hit this big ass rock. I think all of us assumed we would just slide off it and continue on but nope that didn't happen. The raft goes up the rock and flips over knocking all of us out. It was a good thing we were all wearing life jackets because when you first hit the water your natural instinct is to try and get up. The bad thing is when you are in a pile of people so everyone's kicking each other to try and get to the surface. That part was kinda scary. Then once we got up you have to worry about floating down the river. Jimmy caught on to the raft and was holding on to the metal tabs along the side. I started flowing down river but lucky he grabbed me. Anna also grabbed hold of the raft then saved Jack who was floating down. I don't know where Alvin was actually. The other rafts from WET came over and picked up me and Jimmy out from the water. The only way to really pull in a person into a raft is by their life jacket. From the raft I saw our guide jump on our boat and pull it right side up. Everyone was looking for me for some reason because they didn't know what happened to me. Maybe because I'm small and girl I've become more important than Jimmy hehe. Janice was telling my sister that everyone was looking for me because they didn't know what happened like if I was floating downstream or what.

After lunch our group turned so serious we were ready for anything and not gonna capsize again. Anna was making fun of us because we all look so professional in our rowing compared to earlier. Every time we saw a rock we all got traumatized and got extra serious in our paddling. There was one time were we hit up against a rock and I heard our guy go not again but we didn't tip over. Anna saved us by jumping over to the other side of the raft so we just slid off. All in all it was alot of fun and I would totally recommend anyone who wants to go to really go. [6/10/05] Live 105 BFD aka Big Fucking Deal Concert

I bought 3 tickets to BFD and ended up bring both my sisters Lena and Jenn because Derek flaked out on me. I think most friends of my friends are getting too old for concerts since we've already done it before. A lot of the people at BFD were sooo young like in high school that they had a parent with them hehe so lame. I've also never seen so many tats and odd piercing as I have at these concerts. You have the real punksters and then you have the posers hahah. The first band we saw once we got there was MXPX. They were alright nothing too special.

Tegan and Sara were next. They were really good and cute. Tegan's guitar broke so she had to borrow her sister Sara's extra one. There was this guy yelling at her for taking so long so they started calling him steroid man and saying he probably had a small dick haha. They played most of their songs off the So Jealous album and there were actually a good number of guys in the crowd. Although, half were probably dragged over by their girlfriends hehe.

Next came up Rise Against. Jenn didn't know any of their songs except Give it All which they did last and Lena thought they screamed too much so they went off to the subsonic tent. I thought they gave a good performance live and they really got the crowd pumped up. I remembered to wear tennis shoes this time so no bleeding toes =P plus I think I'm getting too old to go into the mosh pit and have guys pushing me around. Yes there are times I hate being short concerts are one time I really hate it. Some of the guys started crowd surfing then they would reach the section were the girls were standing and almost get dropped on their heads cuz no chick wanted to help hold up a guy haha. Ahh that another thing I would have done when I was younger. Man the good old days hahaha. Well plus when I go out with my sisters I never go crazy like when I'm with friends.

Next we saw Party Ben who became famous for his Green Day and Oasis mashup. He ended up playing that during his set. I dunno he's cool and I really like the mash up but I think I'm more into old school trance like djs like Darude or Mars and Mystre. Next we saw The Bravery who are from DC but sound like they're from Britain. The leader singer looks pretty cute and near the end of his set he jumped into the crowd.

I guess a lot of chicks thought he was cute because while he was in the crowd some chick grabbed his balls hahahah. Lena didn't want to stand around the Bud True Music Festival Stage so she walked around while Jenn and me saw Alkaline Trio and Hot Hot Heat. Lena ended up seeing Jimmy Eat World really close but didn't know who they were till later on. Alkaline Trio was alright but they played alot of their old stuff that I never heard of so it wasn't that fun. Hot Hot Heat played most of their new songs off their new album Elevator and their big hit Bandages Bandages. The lead singer had a crazy afro going on for a white guy. He kinda look a bit like Carrot Top.

After Hot Hot Heat we all went over to the main stage to see the Lovermaker and Kasabian who both kinda sucked. By the time they were done we were all getting pretty tired and cold but Jimmy Eat World still had to play. These 2 ugly ass lesbians were in front of us and just kept making and out being annoying. It got to the point that Lena made us move because she couldn't stand the lesbians anymore. We ended up moving right into the smokers section ... lovely huh haha. Damn people were smoking like a chimney that day. Jimmy Eat World wasn't all that great I don't know if it has to do with the acoustics of the main stage but I always end up liking the smaller stage better.

[6/04/05] Happy Bday Sabine

Sabine decide to throw a bonfire at her apt for her birthday. She bought so much alky for the night. There were 2 mini kegs besides mojitos and hard alky. Here are some pictures from the night. Man it really is a freaken small ass world. This kid Mario that I knew in high school is friends with Celina and has met Sabine before. I ended up catching up with him during the night and saw this guy CJ that I knew from elementary school. He was Lena's age so I'm sure he probably didn't really know me but still so weird. Mario's getting his Ph.D from Berkeley. Dude who would have thunk the student government officer who corrupted kids in high school was actually smart haha. Yah I know I'm a bitch but it's true yunno. When people who you don't think have brains suddenly do it's a trip =P.
