[7/30/05] Chocolate Exhibit at the California Academy of Science and Berk Kite Festival

I went with Lena to go see the Chocolate Exhibit at the California Academy of Science Natural History Museum. We got there pretty early around 10ish and walked through the exhibit and was through before the crowd really hit. At 11 we went upstairs to see a special lecture on the chocolate and how to starts out as a cacao bean and turns into a chocolate bar. They gave us a lot of samples all were dark chocolate. We got to taste a 60%, 75%, and 90% chocolate bar. By the end of the 90% which had a drier taste than the others I was starting to get sick of chocolate and really wanted some milk. But instead I got two favored chocolate samples. One was mint and rosemary and the other was lavender and blueberries. Those were pretty good. It was getting late so Me and Lena decided to go to Thirsty Bear for lunch and get some tapas. The food was pretty good and the waiter was really nice.

Lena had to meet up with her friend Leslie to go to some Indian cooking class so I went shopping a bit around Union Square. I met up with Kathy at American Eagle and decided to go back with her to Berk and check out the Berk Kite Festival. There were tons of huge octopus kites but my favorite was this one that remind me of a dragon's tail. It had a super long tail and could make its tail to all these loops. I got to hang out with CAFE ppl like Isabel, James, and Danny. So weird how CAFE ppl are so close and always seem to hang out maybe i'm not really apart of it because I didn't work in the computer labs that long. Anyway, I'll get to see all of them again when we go watch Wicked in August YAYYYY. Boo yeah that's right we have 2nd row orchestra seats. It's gonna be sooo good I'm excited.

[7/29/05] Ed's Goodbye Party

I dragged Carlo with me to Ed's good bye party. It was mostly his high school friends and only a few berk ppl. Ed's sister has a cute lil weiner dog named Einstein. I was trying to get her to play with me but that didn't happen till later on in the night.

Side note - I dragged a 165 lb dummy named Manny 40 feet in my firefighting pe class. That was pretty hard to do considering it weighs waay more than I do. I also got over the wall couple weeks ago so now I just need to climb up to the top of the rope ladder and then I'm set =D.

[7/24/05] Dinner at Raleighs then Hotel Ibiza

We decided to get everyone together for dinner in Berk since Sabine's leaving for Texas on Wednesday. Kasper was suppose to come but he flaked out last minute =(. Christina and Cameron drove down from Sac to hang out. Raleighs redid the place over and it looks alot nicer now. Dinner was fun but sad. I won't be seeing Sabine for at least another year. Hopefully we'll meet up in Germany and do the world cup plan. Our waitress really sucked and it took her forever to get food. She asked us if we wanted to order food and Ed says yes then she just walks away. Crazzzy man crazy haha. Afterwards, I dragged Cameron with me to go to Hotel Ibiza. We met up with Kevin and PJ after walking in I felt bad for Cameron cuz it was basically an Asian party and there were barely any white people there. I tried to make him dance but he pulled the white boy card =P. More pictures

[7/15/05 - 7/18/05] SoCal Trip down to LA then SD

Everyone and there mom is leaving the Bay Area for parts unknown so some of my Cal friends decided to go down South and party with everyone one last time. Ed, Cameron, Sabine, Lauren and me drove down from the Bay Area to SoCal. We helped Lauren move most of her stuff back home before she heads off to Boston. Traffic was a bitch so we ended up getting down to Steph's like around 6:30ish. The plan was to hit up Yardhouse for dinner then go off to Goathill to drink. Yardhouse was pretty fun. I ended up getting this really yummy cherry beer. Hatch and Dave seemed to be having fun trying to figure out how to drink a yard of beer.

The next day we bummed around the pool and hot tub at Steph's apartment complex. Then we headed off to Fox Sports for dinner. This place has sooooo many flat screen tvs. It was a fun place to hang out at and the guys had a blast playing mini bowling. After dinner we all hugged Stephy bye then drove down to pick up Rich and hang out in SD. Hatch has this Kips like dive bar within walking distance from his house so we all treaked down the hill to hang out there. We started playing quarters and basically everyone ended up getting sooooo drunk. I remember bits and pieces around this time. When the bar closed we got hungry and went to go grab Mexican food. Hatch just had to drop me while we were waiting for food. I'm pretty sure I was trying to get a piggy back ride from him or something but I remember getting annoyed that he dropped lil ohh me cuz yunno now he's all buff and he can't even carry me =( hahah. So yah my feet started hurting from my shoes so I got Rich to give me a piggy back ride up the freaken hill back to Hatch's house. Hehe it pays to be a small girl and have buff guy friends =D. According to Lauren when we got back I really wanted to play with the sparklers that I brought and was acting ally cutsy about it hahahah. Then we all jumped into the pool and played around.

So the next morning everyone pretty much was hung over and didn't feel like moving. I felt kinda queasy till about 5pm when I got back to Lauren's house and took a shower. Me and her left early to go to Arcadia to do some Real Estate business for my parents but that didn't end up working out very well. The person wasn't home. Once Ed got back to LA the three of us went to watch Wedding Crashers. It's a really funny movie but man that red head chick is CRAZZZYYY.

Monday morning Steph called in sick to work and the four of us went to breakfast near the Newport Pier. The french toast was really good =D. After that me and Ed drove up to SLO to hang out with Kevin. Seriously this trip we did so much driving but when I say we I really mean Ed heheh. We chilled with Kevin and grabbed dinner before heading back home. Man this trip was soo much fun and I'm glad that so many people could show up especially since I won't be seeing alot of ppl for at least a year if not longer.

[7/14/05] Giving Linh Pink Highlights

My friend Linh wanted hot pink highlights and since she knows I give myself highlights all the time she asked me to do her hair. There was some leftovers so I gave myself a small pink highlight but since then it's faded out alot.

[7/9/05] Learning Stick and Sneak Preview of the Island

I took my lil sis Windy driving around for an hour to make her practice. Afterwards, Carlo took her out driving for another 2 hours. After he dropped off Windy me and Carlo had nothing better to do so he agree to teach me how to drive stick shift. We found some parking lot in the industrial part of Hayward and I drove around in circles. I'm not really use to having a clutch and shifting gears isn't all that bad. It's more that I'm not really sure when to shift from first to second and sometimes I forget to shift into first gear for turns. I actually didn't end up stalling the car that many times but I still suck hehe. After he got tired of sitting in the passanger seat we went over to his house to play with his dog Buck and watch Entourage the second season hehe. Man I love that he has Tivo that way I can go over and watch his recorded stuff. Anyways, Buck is now getting almost as tall as me and is super hyper. Man this dog likes to jump up on me and push me around and now he'll even try to nip my butt too hahah. I like him much better when he's not scaring the shit out of me and cuddles with me while I watch tv. It's so cute I'll be lying on Carlo's bed watching tv and he'll jump up and sit his head under my arm =D. Since we live in a boring city and there isn't much to do we of course decided to go to the movies and watch a sneak preview of The Island. We met up with PJ, Tom, Alcorn, Derek, and Ed at the theatre. I seriously had to go out into the lobby 5 times when each guy decided to show up =P. The chick who checks tickets was probably thinking what the hell when she saw me. The movie actually turned out pretty good and I liked it alot. It was a much better choice than Fantastic 4, which I heard sucked. The only thing that sucked was it was sooooo humid in the theatre that I had to drink a bunch of water once we got out.

Buck, the black one, also likes to cuddle with Dottie, the white one, when he goes to sleep. Apparently at first Dottie wouldn't let him cuddle with her then after 3 days she gave in hehe. Cute huhh. This is when Buck is a tiny puppy. He's bigger now k I'm not a wuss who let's tiny dogs push me around hahah.

[7/5/05] Watching King Arthur with Derek

I got a bunch of coupons from Hollywood video for 99 cent movie rentals so lately I've been renting a bunch of movies hehe. I haven't seen Derek in a while so he decided to come over and hang out with me and my sisters while we watched King Arthur. The movie actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I kinda actually liked it better than Troy, because Troy was just wayyyyyy too freaken long. I think me and Derek are going to drag Carlo bike riding this weekend along freeway 84. Apparently, there is a kick ass view of the bay from along a trail.

So far my 911 fitness challenge class is going pretty well. I get so tired afterwards thou and need to take a 2 hour nap hehe. So it's good that my businesses classes this quarter seem pretty easy because I haven't read anything yet =P. I ended up getting bruises along the insides of my arms trying to climb this green 6 ft tall by 1ft wide wall. Freaken Robbie makes it look so easy, but I think it's just cuz he's tall hahah and has done it before. You have to run to the wall kick off it and pull yourself over. Sounds easy but it really isn't. But my goal is to be able to get over the damn wall by the end of class. I'll see if I wanna actually climb up a rope ladder. I don't think I have the upper body strength to do it. I need to stay in touch with Robbie so once he actually becomes a CHP I can get him to fix my tickets muahaha hehe. Crazy boy can run a mile and half in 9 minutes and 15 sec. I can only run it in 12 minutes which is not that bad but I definitely wanna be faster.

[7/4/05] BBQ at Travis' in Richmond then Grizzly Peak for Fireworks

I drove Ed's car to Berk to pick up Cameron. Ed's car is kinda weird like the steering wheel is loose or something. He says its because it has front wheel steering. Anyway, Cameron's staying at his friend's place which is the family living for married Berk students and man oh man do those speed bumps suck ass. On one I think the bottom of Ed's car scrapped the asphalt oops my bad =(. So afterwards we went over to Travis' apt in Richmond to bbq and watch Entourage. The show is freaken hilarious. I've noticed lately that I seem to only have guy friends hahah. It's all good though. Around 8ish we decided to pack up and head over to Grizzly Peak to watch the fireworks show. We were kinda far away up on the hill so the fireworks weren't that great. There was actually a good number of people up on the hill thou. On the drive back home on 880 me and Ed saw a good number of fireworks while we were driving through Oakland. They were actually decent sized not the small tiny ones. -Sigh- I still have sparklers that I bought in Chinatown but I didn't want to light the mountain on fire so I didn't use them. I think I'll bring them down to LA with me when we go down in a couple weeks.

[7/3/05] Fillmore Jazz Festival with Lena, Alcorn, Matt, and Luke

I finally agreed to go with my older sister Lena to SF to see the Fillmore Jazz Festival. I'm such a bad sister I never wanna hang out with Lena or do the stuff she wants to do hahah. It's just because I don't really care about walking around the city and seeing cool looking buildings although she showed me Danielle Steel's house. The jazz festival was actually pretty cool and I ended up buying a 20 dollar photograph. I called up Alcorn and convinced him to get his ass over. He brought along Luke and Matt. Watching the three of them interact is soo freaken funny. We all just stood around drinking beers and listening to music till the bands decided to take a break and then the sun decided to hid behind some clouds. All in all I actually had fun in SF and walked down the Marina district and saw all the chic expensive places I-Bankers and other corporate people go hang out at.

[7/2/05] A's Game against the White Socks with Lauren and Cameron

I was talking to Lauren on AIM and she convinced me to go to the A's game that night. The A's played the White Sox's who are the top ranked team in their division. It was my first A's game ever and I thought the seats we had were pretty decent. I mean I couldn't really see the faces of baseball players or their ass but I could see them Juno hehe. It's funny because I had Lena on one side of me and Lauren on the other and both are trying to teach me stuff and add input about the game.
