Dec 2 2009 Meeting and Election

General membership meeting and election (2pm - 3pm)

Attendance

Overview

Introduction

Club members received a copy of the Club Summary (PDF).

Membership

The Club agreed to search for new active members. The Club currently has eight members, including inactive members.

Email forwards

Club members expressed a desire for email forwards from the chsntech.org domain. Members will individually contact Dara Adib with a reasonable username.

Election

Dara Adib ran unopposed for Club President, and was re-elected by default.

Meeting schedule

The Club agreed to hold weekly membership meetings on a consistent day of the week, rather than on an individual basis. Members are requested to fill out a meeting schedule poll.

Discussion mailing list

The Club agreed to implement a discussion mailing list for members, pending further discussion.

Website

Dara Adib was assigned the task of updating the Club website. Task completed on December 5, 2009.

Finance

The Club currently has a debt of $47.07 caused by the expense of hosting the website. Club members Grant Germano and Paul Sieradzki suggested fundraising to increase funds without requiring membership dues, and Hyungjin Park joined in on the suggestion.

Since the Club was sanctioned as a not-fundraising club by the school, the Club will need fundraising approval from the Board of Education. Dara Adib and Mr. Tepper were assigned the responsibility of getting approval as a fundraising club.

Review Project

The Club agreed to promote the Review Project, assigning primary responsibility to Paul Sieradzki. Flyers or review reports in the form of pamphlets will be distributed to health and/or calculus classes.

Other projects

Other projects, including the Public Project (specifically, assisting the school district with rolling out Google Apps for students), were mentioned, but require further discussion at a later meeting.
