Research

I do research on long-wavelength vertical-cavity surface emitting lasers (VCSELs) and their applications to telecom and datacom -- more specifically I am currently interested in:

• Optical Injection Locking of VCSELs - Enhancing performance of VCSELs by injection of another laser
• Circuit Modeling of VCSELs- Modeling of VCSELs to improve device performance
• Advanced Modulation Formats for VCSELs - Improving spectral efficiency and data rate for LW VCSELs
