i a m d a n
so i was born in Wisconsin, in the beautiful city of Madison.
my childhood consisted of a lot of running around outdoors, climbing trees, playing baseball, riding my bike, watching TV, and more.
ah...those were the days... growing up on Annie, Superman, Transformers, and Star Wars.
i lived there for nine years ('til end of third grade), before moving to suburbia, New York.
moving to Yorktown wasn't the most pleasant experience at first, having to move halfway across the nation to a new town, different school, even different TV channels.
no fun at first, but gradually i made some friends and got in the swing of things. playing ball, video games...being a kid.
going through my adolescence in Yorktown, i went through so many changes there. met my bestfriend, chris, there...and made other great friends and memories...
didn't expect to have to move again, but i did.
next stop in life was silicon valley, California. right before junior year of high school.
in many ways i felt cheated...cheated out of the best years of high school with my best friends whom i grew up with.
cheated of having this close group of friends i would see on trips home from college.
but i also gained a lot...an opportunity to see a new environment and meet new people.
to enjoy the beautiful california weather (though i did miss the snow).
two years of high school and off to college it was. this transition was less jarring for me.
i never really felt like i fit in at Saratoga H.S., and so the next step was in ways very welcomed.
plus, Berkeley is only about an hour away from home, which was great since i could still be close to my family.
upon graduating from Cal, i had a great summer with great friends and spending time with my family before packing a few bags and heading back east.
i've been adapting and doing my best to survive and enjoy myself in the hecticness and stress of living in the big apple of NYC.

For a quick and encompassing (though likely outdated) glimpse at who i am, check out:
I N T E R E S T S:
i love a cappella music. listening (passing by and hearing Cal groups on sproul during college, and of course,
Rockapella!), and i also love singing. i'm very into music in general.
sports have always been a big part of my life, and i've had love affairs with football, basketball, and tennis.
obviously the opportunity to play all has drastically declined with college and now work.
hoping to get back into playing tennis and basketball a bit...
i teach and train Leung Ting WingTsun, a logical, effective, and truly ingenious system of maximizing biodynamics (and fighting).
i read somewhere once: "Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional."
i thought i might have, but after the hype and coverage for Episode III, i realized that perhaps i'll never grow out of Star Wars
(amazingly i still have too much star wars info stored in my head which might otherwise store knowledge i could use for more "practical" things...)
my still current favorite show would have to be Smallville. it's just weird to think that for the first time, Clark Kent/Superman is s'posed to be younger than me.
boy do i feel old.
