Photo Gallery: Euro And Back 1

For me the best part of Europe was traveling back. Not "back" as in "back home," but as in "backpack." But enough with the pleasantries; let's get back to the pix.

My trip kicked off with red bean kicking out from a Chinese dessert bow, the Breakfast of Champions. Our schedule was packed, and so was I.

Our first picture together, traveling buddy Andrew Chau and me. The London Underground station warned us to "Mind the Gap" spanning the subway door and its station doorstep. With all our bags protruding off our backs and sides, we had to mind a healthy gap between us, too, even here within the train.
Our first hostel proved less than hostile, so we emerged with smiles. Our smiles checked, we moseyed about Liverpool station, getting to know the streets that would become our hotel later one torrential night.

From London we hopped by jet to Praque, the heart of Bohemia.
Perhaps Pepsi had broken into the Soviet Bloc far before capitalism had, or had broken the Soviet Bloc into capitalism. Artwork appears to be a little freer in Euros.
Fingerprint of the global McD Ubiquity. Andrew Chau, rising marketing extraordinaire, lectures on the hidden benefits of Prague chocolate wafers.
Did I see this in the movie Martin Luther? Even if not, I wonder how many movies came out of this Prague castle hall, frought with history Hollywood and holy. In any case, this one's from Friends.
We arrived at our Prague hostel the first night after midnight and finally managed to plop into bed, but at 4am the world exploded in a drunken frenzy as our roommates returned. An enormous action duo went on in the bunk farthest from my position, stuff I don't miss. We met Nikolai at his cafe and learned of his art gallery not far away, where we picked up a fantastical piece of his. Unfortunately, we later learned that the artwork was of another Nikolai—but a beautiful memento of Bohemia nonetheless. At least we got to enjoy the foodwork of the Nikolai with whom we're smiling.
