EJC OFFICER ELECTIONS
FOR THE
2008-2009 SCHOOL YEAR

120A Bechtel at 7 pm

Election Procedures:

Each group under EJC will receive two (2) votes. At least one (1) vote must be made by the president and one (1) vote can be made by another representative of each respective group. Each current EJC officer will receive one (1) vote. Candidates will win with a simple majority. Run-offs will occur after dropping the candidate with the lowest number of votes. 

Elections will begin on Tuesday, May 6th, 2008, at 7:10 pm in 120A Bechtel.

During elections, powerpoint slides listing candidate qualifications and a picture will be shown. The candidate will have three minutes to present their statement of intent to those present. There will then be two minutes for floor questions directed at the candidate. After all candidates have presented they will be required to leave the room. Eight minutes will then be allowed for deliberation on candidate qualifications open to the floor. Voting by qualified voters will occur after deliberation. Candidates will then reenter and be informed of the result.
