exhibit stands

This week I am so excited because I am going down to Philadelphia for the exhibition stand design that I have been working on for over a year.  I want to set up a trade-show stand last year but I just didn't have the entry fee and the spots filled up before I could possibly raise all of the funds.  This year everything has worked out perfectly and I am hopefully going to be getting my name around as much as possible this week.  I think this year the exhibition design is especially important because a lot of people coming this year are bringing similar types of flowers.  So the key for any one of us to stand out among the other fair stands is to maximize the visual presentation within our stand construction.  So what I have planned is to theme my whole presentation and exhibition design after a very well known German flower.  It will be relatively small within my presentation and will hopefully be a diamond in the rough kind of find for the viewers.  Also, I know for a fact that the Germany Exhibition is not including the flower anywhere in their design.  So we leave tomorrow morning bright and early, around six, and will have everything set up by noon and when the people come in and file through ours, sadly, is right in the middle of all of the other exhibition stands and doesn't have any inherent value in terms of placement or proximity to the entrances.  We will be down there all week long and plan on going out a ton since this is one of the few times we ever make it down to Philadelphia anymore.  We used to love going down there as much as possible, but now since we are trying to run our own business and go to school, it is a bit difficult to fit regular trips across the state in to an ever small family budget.  My partner's birthday is this week too so I plan on taking her out to dinner and buying her gifts in the shops, which are so much cooler than the ones around here.
