GSA Orientation

I went to the GSA Orientation this Friday. I was working as a tour guide. I had to prepare before, but obviously, I did not have enough training. Also, each tour was 90 minutes. So that at the end of each tour, I was very tired and had to drink lots of water. My first tour, I did not know what I should say and it was obvious to the people in the tour that it was my first time being a guide. Maybe because I was not good, in my first tour, two people that was in my tour left :'( . The second time and the last time I did the tour with my friend, Wilson, and I think that I was better, especially the last time.

Then, I went to the party that GSA planned for the new graduate students. As usual, the GSA party did not have enough food, but the live music was good, provided by Austral Aliens, a group from Australia.

Being Attacked by Hurricane

Had a dream last night about UCLA being attacked by a hurricane. A bunch of us (students) were in some big hall, something like Powell Library. However, the building had large glass windows on the side of it so it was clear that the building was right next to an ocean. It could also be some type of small peninsula or isthmus. Anyways, we were surrounded by water, and I think the reason we were all in the building was because of the hurricane outside. We were waiting fore evacuation, I suppose. However, a really big wave came, you could see it, because we had those large glass windows, and crashed through, the glasses broke, and glasses were all over the floor. For some reason, I was walking barefoot, so I got cut walking around, but it was spectacular when the water crashed through the windows. Then my alarm went off.

Back in Business

Yay, ocf is back up again! Not that I have much to report anyway, except for the large fires around LA. I hope people are okay.
